Your first Away game.

pre season friendly V Port Vale about 1970 I remember wearing Prince of Wales check parallells, Cherry red Docs, Jaytex button down collar shirt, braces and got kicked to feck. I was 12 or 13. Hahahaha, can't remember the score though.

actually thats not true, me mates dad took me and me mate to goodison a year or so previous when they still had that white thing behind the goal.

Stoke away about 1971 (uncle took me)
Rolled over one of them metal barriers that you used to lean against; fell off and split my head open on the concrete as you do and as a young kid got patched up and sat by St Johns by the pitch behind the goal as Franny ran riot!

Bolton W away, think it was 78 or 79, it was one of Steve Daleys first games, might of even been his debut. Me and 3 mates aged 9 got the number 8 bus, got off outside Burnden Park about 12 in the afternoon and got jumped by about 20 Bolton teenagers, fled into a shop shittin ourselves. We didn't end up going in the ground it was kicking off everywhere and got chased back down Manchester road. Does this count? I made the effort to get there and got my first ever smack on the nose, happy days

Well don't worry about it , you didn't miss much ....... sure Steve Daley got the winning goal in a 1-0 win , but the game definetely wasn't up to much ..... i was on the open end!

Stoke 1974, the place looked like it had been hit by an air raid when we left, city fans smashed the place to bits. Scarey but exciting.

Yeah , i was also there that day ........ if it's the game that i think we lost 4-0 in.

As soon as the final goal went in there was a mass City exodus from the Victoria Ground , and it was carnage on the way back to the station as fans ran riot ...... Stokes souvenier shop window went through , as did other windows , City fans just went beserk.
