Your Football Manager Seasons?

Does it annoy anybody else when you don't start as city and they start doing unrealistic transfers like Maxi Rodriguez and some 35 year old keeper.
 
How are you married/living with a bird types coping? I'm buying this at weekend after i've been paid. I know its going to go down like a ton of shit, because my mrs has been counting down the days till the end of the season as it is and so only god knows how she'll react when she says, 'fancy doing something tonight?' and I say 'nah, managing City'.

Just totally, and blantently ignore her, she will get the hint eventually and you will be free from her shackles and able to imerge yourself into virtual management.
 
Nope, always find it interesting to see who we'd buy. On occasion over the years, some of my FM games have been very spookily close to the real thing at a number of clubs, not just City.

But sometimes it does seem a bit wide of the mark - for instance, in the new game mentioned above Real Madrid have just bought SWP off me for £6.5m, Bridge for £10.25m, Bellamy for £14m and are now after Petrov for £2.4m.
 
Liverpool paid 20mil for a 30 year old Bridge on mine lol. Plus Wolves always want Petrov off me too.

just won the league and champs league in me second season at the blues. lookin forward to me 3rd season now, bringing in ribery on a free at the end of his contract so not a bad signing, plus av just stuck a 120 mil bid in mr messi. should piss it this season got a tasty squad at the mo too. signed james milner and ashley young in me first season, milner has been shite and young the big head wanted out after a season and a half so sent him to liverpool who promptly finished 9th!! hahaha!!!

If you go onto your squad then click coaches next to training, at the bottom it says summary, how do i get the ratings to 5 stars? they're all 2-2.5s. What coaches should I hire??
 
Use staff search and hire staff with high attributes in the overall training stat you want to imprive, say you want to get attack closer to 5 stars search for coaches with 19/20 attack and hire them, then under their name uncheck all the boxes so only attack is ticked i.e. they will only be teaching attacking and the overall stat should improve.

Im into about 2014 now not too much of the city team left won the prem twice, fa cup, charity shield, Champs league, world club thing what scum won a few seasons back, currently in the final of carling cup and top of prem :).
