For me, for no transfer fee Joe Cole is a must, had a tough season through injury but, he can still do it, still young enough, if we can get him fit and firing, this guy was englands best player in the qualifiers before he got injured..

Di Maria, Yaya and Vargas i see as very realistic signings

Think these signings would make our team a lot lot stronger, and call it...

oh dear. hes not far behind tevez in our best player this season

My issue with DJ is that whilst no doubt he is a very very good footballer because his range of passing is soooooo limited you need a second player to play next to him to distribute the ball - Essian - Mascherano - Alonso and other all can do to varying degrees what DJ can do but DJ cant do what they do - i think they are more complete players. I would play Barry instead of DJ and bring in a creative / attacking midfield player to pair with him.

Barry made one of the passes of the season for me against Brum - just cant see DJ doing making them passes - yes we may loose a bit defensively but if we are honest we need a new right back and left back can be suspicious and Toure has his off days.

Woudl DJ make it in Rags - Chelski - Arse or Spuds - i would suggest he would struggle Barry at least could probably get in SPuds and Rags.

The days of a one trick holding midfield player who is purely destructive are gone - maybe i was spoilt in that i was fortunate enought to watch Gerry Gow - similar style of player but he could score goals also.
