Your personal lowest point as a City fan

The cup final replay on 81
Luton 83 was bad as it was a total shock.
That derby in the 90s when we were 2-0 up and they won 3-2
The FA cup derby in 96
Liverpool 96 relegation game
Stoke 98

Worst of all was gillingham's second at wembley. The lowest point of all.

That 1997-1998 season total nightmare.Getting beat by the likes of Bury Stockport and Port Vale home and away.

Pleat running across the pitch, still haunts me to this day

I have to say, that does take some beating.

Owen's winner in the derby was a killer too.

But is has to be spurs fa cup 81 for me. What makes it so much worse is the number of times that its been shown since with John Moston going bananas when villa scored.

Still an irrelevant thread though, re whats going on this season

Most late winners conceded against U****d. The late Scholes header smarts the most as it looked like we'd secured a point.

.............and another one..

Losing 3-1 away to Sunderland in the FA Cup replay in 1973.

Nurse, pass me the pills. This is all getting too much for me.

Do we not have a counsellor on call - I feel in need of some serious therapy.
Glad someone else has this one. I truly believed we would win the cup that year. When we lost it struck me that we would probably never win anything else with the King, Buzzer and Lee One Pen in the same team and a little bit of me died. Of course I was only 10 and cried my eyes out.

I was 10 and I cried too,

Funny thing was that Sunderland, despite being secoind divsion, had Watson and Tueart who came to us shortly after.

Don't forget Micky Horswill either. I still think that Sunderland achievement is the greatest in the history of the FA Cup. For a second division team to knock out City (drawn away at Maine Road first), then Arsenal (beaten finalists the year before) in the semi at Hillsborough and then the holders Leeds in the final - they basically knocked out the 3 best teams in the country at the time. Talk about your name being on the Cup !

Getting kicked to fuck by reds in town outside that boozer after The Brunswick. The doormen locked me outside the pub which was full of City when they saw the Utd lot coming down from Picc Station. I was one of 3 locked on the pavement. I lasted a few minutes before curling up. Not one blue came out to save me by the way. The dibble arrived and saved the day.

Not a great night. (they were coming back from an away and had just got off the train)
