Your personal lowest point as a City fan

The Stoke relegation game was sickening, but at the time I was more concerned about getting back to the station safely as WW3 broke out in the Potteries. It was only on the train back to Manchester that the reality dawned we had been relegated to the third level of English football.

The 2-2 draw against Liverpool hit me a lot, lot more. Probably because it was at Maine Road and the absolute shambles that influenced it with Stevie Lomas playing keep ball in the corner as that idiot Ball was under the impression that a draw would keep us up. I'll never forget Quinn fully showered, suited and booted running down the touchline because he knew the real situation, that we needed a win.

Two down to Gillingham at Wembley I cracked and the tears freely flowed as I contemplated what it might possibly mean for the club I adored? Thankfully we all know what happened after.

Even when QPR went 2-1 up last season it didn't hit me as hard as any of the above. I just thought fuck it I'm gonna turn my phone off and get pissed.

For those bleating about our current situation (even though we are second and still in the FA Cup) you seriously need to get a grip.

league cup final v wolves 1974.i was 22, left wembley brokenhearted.

nowadays i'm older and wiser. its only football.

I was there for that but for reasons I can't recall I was in the Wolves end.

Guy in front of me sang incessantly "Oh Rodney, Rodney. Rodney, Rodney, Rodney, Rodney is a c**t".

On the way back the coach driver decided to head back to Manchester via the East Lancs road. I was 10 years old and it was the longest day of my life. Got back in at 2am.
