Your Rag Mates

I have a rag mate. I was actually the host on his wedding. Decided to wear a city shirt. He has been very quite since the demolishion but last week when Chelsea won he was back to his old ways. I have always tried to be humble in victory with him. I dont very much like to rub it in but I am really hoping for them to take it for the rest of the season just to shut him up. Apparently he was a bin dipper as a kid so with those glory hunting tendencies it is not unlikely him donning City wear in a few years...

i seem to remember at school that you had city fans and band wagon liverpool fans.... can't put my finger on too many rags; especially ones that went to the match. (not that they do now!)
the select few where arseholes then and the bandwagon liverpool fans soon changed their allegiance toward the sound of the salford brass band.
i have a question for you...
i have seen many rags turn their allegiance to city, but have 'never' even heard of the other way round; even when the going was a bit tough against our neighbours... stockport.

have you ever heard or seen a blue go red???

my boss was once a blue and turned red, apparently he turned around May 1999. I didn't know him when he was blue but apparently all his brothers are blue, I don't think he ever went to City and he doesn't go to the swamp unless he gets free tix, TBH you could write his knowledge of football on the back of a stamp. He's a complete wanker too which could explain things!
haha, so even though the answer is yes... it seems like they are people pleasing tossers!? haha

I have said to him that he'll probably be a blue again by 2013, I do give him plenty but as he's my boss I have to take a step back now and again before I reach the point of a full-on character assassination

To be honest when I was at school my best mate was a rag, all through Junior school & secoundary school this was in the late 70's early 80's and both teams were shit to be honest, although they did seem to have better cup runs etc, but our best years were well and truly gone, the top team about then was Liverpool! we both got into the casual scene and ended up chasing one another around town, and all that nonsense which as mates who had grown up together was too challenging and we went our seperate ways!!! and to this day we still don't talk although we have bumped into each other a few times over the years!

made it my lifes work not to be friends with any rags!! as it could be very awkward at times with some of the peeps I've associated with over the years and espeacilly on match days or nights out in town!

They are human filth, true scum and I hope they all burn in hell.

Merry Xmas unless you are a Rag Filth Scum Satinist Human on fire

haha, give me his number then? or better still post it on here. hahahaha

i have to admit, my old fella was a red and my father-in-law is a red. both were old school and went to whoever was at home because of travelling costs back then; which makes them football fans and not just tunnel visioned rags. my dad's dead now so is difficult to know, but the F-I-Law is first to give credit when credit is due (through gritted teeth i think), but i can have an intelligent, objective conversation about any football game with him. I do believe this is a rarity though and have not heard of many who are able to have this.

I don't have a single mate who's a Rag. I know a few in work though, and like the poster above, I've been very humble with what we've been doing this season, even after the 1-6 (can't even imagine what they'd have been like if they'd beaten us 6-1). I don't know why, because those fuckers don't have a single humble bone in their bodies - maybe that's why I hate Rags so much, I've not met one who is humble. They all seem arrogant, and can't take any criticism of their team whatsoever. So, fuck them all, and I hope I never, ever call one of the a mate.

My Dad's a rag. Prior to 1990 he liked music.

My step-brother's a rag. Prior to 1995 he played for City's youth academy.

My uncle's a rag, has been all his life. Fancied himself as one of them cool socialist rags. Then he had kids and now they're all mouthy rag gobshites.

99.99% of them dont have a clue but iv got a few who i do take the banter off. they have been going since kids home, away and europe without fail and i do have a tad of respect for which they do for our 'blue crew' who have done the same.

the others knobs!
