YOUR starting back four.

Zabaleta RB

Toure CB

Kompany CB

Lescott LB

Id put bridge on the bench...lescott bagged 10 goals for everton in a season at left back.
Vinnie needs to play (when fit) he will be a world class CB, not defensive midfield player ( we have barry and de jong)
Micah on the bench until he gets that consistency (dont forget last season!)

Mine would be

Zab..Toure..Nedum..Bridge

for me, Zab is our best right back. Richards is poor going forward, he cant cross, and never knows what to do when attacking (defensively fine though, and it worked well against Blackburn when we needed his ability in the air). Personally I don't think Richards is a very average right back, but could become an excellent centre back.

Nedum, I think is just as good as Lescott, with the potential to be even better, thats why I'm not too convinced with the Lescott deal at the moment (My opinion might well change if he plays well though).

I feel a bit harsh on Dunney because he has been superb for us this season, but with Lescott signing I think this unfortunately will be the end of Dunne at city. Once again, I don't think Lescott is any better than Dunne

Ben Haim I actually don't think is as bad as some people think he is, but I very much doubt he would get near the team now so I think he will be the first to go.

Toure is absolute quality so would be the only defender I think we have got, who is more or less guaranteed to play nearly every week

I also prefer Kompany in the midfield. I'm sure we will find lots of reasons to play Kompany and/or DeJong over the season

Bridge has been very good this season so I don't see the need for him to be dropped, and I have no idea if Lescott is any good at left back, but obviously would provide adequate cover to Bridge if needed

Can't agree with that. Toure reads the game better than any defender we have had for years

Lmao Jesus Christ, the bloke's a liability, constantly watching balls fly over his head, always miles out of position and always relying on his other CB to bail him out, and when that's Dunne it's bad news 'cos he's exactly the same.

Ant

Did Toure not show you the love or something .. does he owe you a autograph.. you bitterness reminds me of the guy inb the Eminem video of "Stan " did you cut out pictures of him from magazines and glue them onto pics of you ? and cos he ignores you, the rage has come ?
Toure = class !! get over yourself

The fact that we are having this debate and that there must be 6 or 7 viable combinations at least mentioned shows what good shape we are in.

Prior to last season the first 11 picked itself when fit.

My personal choice would be Zab, Toure, Vince, Lescott.

Looks like Hughes might go Richards, Toure, Lescott, Bridge.

Zab, Lescott, Toure, Bridge, Home and away. Need settled back four, no need to alternate home and away.

Ned on the bench when fit....
