Well now, just had a quick trawl through the 17 pages, and I may be wrong, but I can see no mention of Freddie and the Dreamers!

Charlatans are fantastic but for the sake of my sanity I have the option of not including them in the top 5. Theres just too manyNot geographically 'from' Manchester but very much steeped in that Manchester sound of 89-91.
Imo the Charlatans are the greatest band of the last 30 odd years.
Consistently produced top level music for over 3 decades, adapted their sound, had their little 'phases' and always produce a top live show.
Consistently very good.
did Harlem Spirit ever doing anything decent besides (the admittedly excellent) Dem a Sus? Genuine question, I'm not presuming the answer

This is my fave tune from anything Sweet Sensation related.I am dumbfounded that the OP didn’t have Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds, Harlem Spirit or Sweet Sensation included in his list.
