Your worst footballing moment?

Too young to remember relegations fortunately but being locked in at old trafford after that league cup semi final was fucking grim.
 
Car broke down on way to Wembley 1981 replay, AA looked at it and told my dad they could either take us to Wembley or home. Dad decided to chance driving it first, got us to Wembley, promptly lost then drove back and got to Knutsford before packing in, had to sleep in the car until we got towed home. Shit trip there and back with an even worse result stuck in the middle. Fucking hate Spurs.

Liverpool at home FA Cup 1987 ish
As a deluded, enthusiastic 23 year old I was convinced our young team of home grown lads would give them a real game and that we had a real chance, but it really was men against boys as they killed us 0-4 and I left Maine Road with five minutes to go feeling utterly sick

I was working for an Essex based company who had a box at Spurs and I was desperate for us to win this game
As we know, Sheron scored for us and then it all turned to shit. I had to face those loud mouth cockney ****s the next day as well

This is the game that convinced me we'd never win a major trophy ever again
They go 1-0 up then have a man sent off. Then Berbatov ran the match from centre forward and Dunne and Richards couldn't get the ball off him. They then go 2-0 up so we start hitting the ball high and long straight at their 6ft 5 centre backs
I really felt like crying after that game
 
!961 or thereabouts, my first away match on my own. Football special down to Wolves for the first match of the season only to see us battered 8-2, a long journey home but I often think that this match set me up to be a Blue.
 
Been at most of these including Luton but the one that gutted me most on the day was Liverpool away in 2014 when they beat us 3-2. Thought that was it as far as the title went.

Second season running that we just missed out as well.

Forest went up instead and then won the league title the season after, followed by back-to-back European Cups.

Weirdly enough, we were one of the best supported teams in the country that season with attendances better than half the teams in the top flight and second only to Chelsea outside the top flight.
 
Wembley 81 was a gut wrenching experience. Also Leeds away when Reid missed a penalty. 2 nil to leeds iirc. Got spat on outside and through window of the car then the gearbox fucked up on the 62.
 
The thirty minutes or so in the second half v QPR.

But it felt worse as a kid when Swinton got knocked out of the R.L. Challenge Cup against Widnes after two replays in 1964.
And can never forget the neanderthal home crowd at Featherstone Rovers.
