Your worst footballing moment?

The minutes before the comebacks v QPR and Gillingham.
The relegation games v Liverpool and Stoke
The loss to Spurs at Main Rd in the FA Cup and of course the final loss to Wigan.
Getting pumped by Palace in the League Cup 1/4 final.

Of the derby games:
Keane's winner after we were 2-0 up at half-time
The 5-0 spanking at Old Toilet
The FA Cup defeat with the 'ghost penalty'.
Owen's winner

Others:
1999 CL final - Was my 19th birthday and those bastards ruined, what for 90mins was an enjoyable day.
England losing on penalties to Germany in 90 and 96.

There was a game against Bolton when we hit the woodwork about 4/5 times only to concede a last minute penalty and lose 0-1.

I’m waiting for UEFA to charge us for delaying the match due to scousers firebombing the team coach...

Being jumped by Wolves Fans near Wolverhampton Railway starion in 1980/81 season. I lost 3 teeth. Fortunately my dentist was able to put them back (secured in a brace) and the roots fortunately regrew /reattached.

We hired a skip, last year. I threw my boots on top of it.
In fairness, I hadn't played in nine years, (gave up aged 40) so they were only taking up space. Felt weird.
Also, it has been pointed out to me (with no small amount of justfication) that if I had thrown my boots away thirty-odd years earlier, the game would not have missed out on anything. :-)
Ah well, suppose I'll definitely never play for City, now.
Boots in a skip?

Are you going to Jimmy Grimble 2?

I'm still harbouring the hope that some kid will find them atop of the landfill, pull them on and... magically... 'Billy's Boots' style... find himself inexcorably drawn to the pub for the aftermatch slagging.

David Pleat running on the pitch at the end of the game when Luton relegated us. 1982/83

Ipswich away 2001, Monday night must win game under royle, was pretty devoed after that for a couple of days, all the hard work from the previous two seasons gone to waste plus the Ipswich fans with their weakest link banner.
Everton and Leicester away last year took a bit out of me.
Us selling Niall Quinn and Paul Walsh didnt go down well with me, both departures left me scratching my head for days.
