Zabaleta confirms he will stay at City

What a load of bullshit......given a decent run of games maybe 5 or 6 on the trot then I'm sure we would see zabbas form and fitness improve and him getting back to the player of last season.
Him getting injured in pre season gave Sagna a chance with us and he has took it with his consistent performances.Zabaleta and pellegrini both know this therefore putting noses out of joint and him only getting the odd game here or there.
His performance yesterday replicated that of a player who has given us everything for years knowing he wasn't needed for the biggest club match of his life and the clubs recent history.
The guy just needs a break and a run of games just like Sagna got.

We need new blood in the squad and it means cutting Zaba or Sagna, going off of performances, Sagna is a million miles ahead of him. He was starting right back last year and struggled, its been 2 years since he was anywhere near his best, Sagna had an excuse of being in a new team last year. You're letting sentimentality cloud your judgement, knowing you're not needed for a big game is no excuse to not give it your all in another game, not accusing Zaba of that but his all just isn't what it use to be.

People get too emotionally attached to players. They come and go.

Zaba will go down as a club legend but its time to move on in the summer.

You are too sentimental. One of my all time favourite City players but it just pains me to watch him play like he has been doing over the past months. We have too many 30+ year old players now and it pains me to watch Zabs perform like this nowadays. He wont get his place back on a regular basis from Sagna, who has been superb this season, unless of course Pep decides he doesn`t want either of them. However they wont be alone.

No time for sentiment, if Pep thinks that Zabaleta is not good enough anymore then ship him out. To improve you have to be ruthless sometimes.

It's sad to see, but his legs have gone and I think it's time for him to move on in the summer. I think he realises that too.

yes i agree Zabba does know that his playing time at City is almost over, i wish he could stay in some other roll, but he has got a couple of years left at a more sadate pace ie spain or italy.

Yeh he clearly knows his time is up, you can almost see the frustration and realisation in his face.

On Sunday I don't think He or Kolarov stopped a cross between them. The difference is, sadly Zabba couldn't, where as Kolarov couldn't.............be arsed.

Players do come and go,but nobody needs to hear me tell them this, but I'm gonna do

Pablo has been a fantastic player for us,and he has put his head on the block for us every season, from broken noses to bleeding head wounds, this guy has certainly put his body on the line for us,and will be sorely missed as to when he leaves the club.

Legend is a word used to often these days, but PZ more than fits the bill for us,an absolute warrior and will never be forgotten......................
