Pace is absolutely not a pre-requisite for a centre half, it's all about reading the game, As for his height, so what? Somebody on here has already mentioned Mascherano who at 5'8" does a pretty good job. Puyol and Cannavaro were two pretty good CB's and both were shorter than Zabba.

No but it helps as does being tall. No chance of it happening anyway.

he will struggle with pacey striker comes straight at him with little protection.
people telling skinny Dinho will be great CB, have no clue.

Agree, City give away far too much height and strength as it is at the back. It would end up like the Leicester home game every week, and Hart having to come into no-mans land even more with the iffy punches.

Pep can probably use zab but it makes sense to sell him doesnt it? Why keep him when we have youth in the ranks and can by another one. Id sell him, then hopefully down the road offer him a coaching position

Im not so sure I didnt feel very safe with either of them playing last season and with the other 2 on the left being pretty much there sell by date it has left us venerable down the wings

The only use I can see for Zaba is a make weight to bring in a new full back. Now that he has lost some of that pace sadly his number is up for us. I just can't see Zabba and Kolorov at the club next season as a player role.

A guy like Maffeo isn't good enough to play regularly yet, so we should ideally we bring in a player who has shown that he's quality and is around 22-23 to replace Zaba, then work in Maffeo has a long-term replacement for Sagna.
