Zabaleta or Sagna?

Zab's run into the box for the 2nd was what gave Milner the free run at the header. He left 4 Stoke defenders who were mesmerized by Silva & Nasri and attracted a centre half towards him who would have competed with Jimmy for that cross.

He was very poor first half but was a lot steadier in the 2nd. He stopped biting at the ankles and jockeyed Moses away from penalty area.

I am watching the second half now. Zab made some timely interceptions and started to look like his old self again. I think Pellers will continue the rotation, but I have to say I think Sagna could well start against Barca. I think his game will be better suited.

Speaking of Zab and his defending, it is glaringly obvious that we could do with a Victor Moses type player who can run at the opposition fullback. I believe that Barker from the EDS could do that, but it is also evident that he is a couple of years away from moving up. I wouldn't mind seeing us pick up an slightly older, experienced left side attacker until Barker hopefully matures into the role.

Some fans need to check out the word loyalty, this is a man who has bought into the whole City thing, taking in youth team games, accent bordering on manc and at the first sign of a dip in form, you want him out of the team and to be replaced by Sagna a free signing who knows no loyalty to anybody but his wallet, a player who in the past has slated City for being rich etc but more importantly has played only one good game in a City shirt since he signed.

fucking disgusting if you ask me, which you didn't but there you go.
Fuck loyalty dude. We should play the best team. And if Zaba is as Manc as you claim, even he would understand.

If it's really all about loyalty, we might as well put you in a shirt lace you in boots and play you in place of Silva. Surely we all know you bleed bluer that David.

Where is the eyeroll emoticon :(

It is good to see that we have class fans around, the same class that started booing Giggs, Gerrard and Lampard though unfortunately.

Dude, turns cap backwards and looks in shed for skateboard.

We would all pick a fit Zabba. There has to be a line when a players fitness level compromises the good of the team. Where that line is...........

Pellers gets paid to make that call.

IMO all those in our team who had a lengthy stay in Rio last summer have struggled this season and a rest is maybe all that is needed.

Exactly, there is no debate about that. But I don't like what I am seeing from Zabaleta recently, some pretty average players are making fun of him game after game. It might help both the team and his reputation if he is rested.

Sagna for me against Barcelona definitely. I doubt we'll get anything from those games looking at their form and our inability to keep clean sheets but let's at least make it respectable.

Both Liverpool and the Rags were very good at recognising when to move a player on during the periods when achieved sustained success. It was only when they stopped doing that and were blinkered by what players had done for them in the past that they started to struggle.

100% agree with you.

The only thing Sagna ups Zabba in is Aerially..Overwise they are equal or Zabba is better in everything else.

Pablo alllllll day.

Looking forward to him & Navas vs Neymar & Alba
