He's alright, tries really hard for the team and can't fault him on that front. But there's no room for sentiment in football, and there are better right backs out there.
:D

Sorry Mrmcfc, not in the premier league there isnt, imo.
Glenn Johnson?
:)
WUM.

Fantastic player, fantastic example of how a professional footballer should act. Always gives us 100% and does all the other things that mean so much to the fans.

Couldn't decide who to have on the new shirt, its Zabs now.

The hilarious thing is to think back on how we got him - when Charlie Corluka decided he wanted to go and play with his friend Modric at Spurs, we were a bit affronted because Corluka showed real promise and who was this Zabaleta chap? But it was similar money all round. Corluka's moved on to Lokomotiv Moscow now but I know who got the best of the deal. Was Zabba really a Hughes signing?

What is charlie up to nowadays? He never got his golden ticket.
Does anybody else think Zabba always wanted to be a forward?
He was our most dangerous Argentian striker many times last year..

Sunshine and idle hands have combined to give an overhaul to a shabby old Garden chair, from potential firewood to the best thing in the garden lol.

(Sad maybe, but being out of work is clearly sending me stir crazy !)

Put your fucking rod back in the cupboard.

I'm afraid, gentlemen, that with a fully fit Micah, and no other injuries to 1st choice players, Zab wouldn't get into my starting XI. Love him though.

sorry mate but zaba has more talent in his left nut sack than micah. Dont get me wrong hes a great lad and i would keep him but i really dont rate richards and i think he is vastly Over-rated on here. his speed gets him out of so much shit. imo of course.

Think Gary Neville got it right when he said that Zabaleta is "more than a right back". And more than just am exceptional one at that.

It's hard not to love zabaleta ! And I'm far too old to be putting names on replica tops. The guy is a sky blue legend !!

You are never too old to be putting names on replica tops and this season I will be moving on from Kompany to Zabaleta!! I moved from Dunne to Kompany and now it is time to move on again.

And I am very, very, very old!!

Micah gave us so much more in attacking options. I must say that, with a change in tactics under Pelle this might be a less important facet of full-back play, but under Mancini with so few wide attacking options we really missed Micah's marauding runs. With luck we can rely on the attacking players to do just that, and the full-backs to defend, in which case Zab will come in to his own.

Didn't Zaba make team of the season? Shows its more than sentiment, as he is held I high regards also by his peers, not just his supporters

Zabs has proved me wrong. I thought he was ok but not to be trusted because he was so rash. And maybe I was half right 3 years ago.

Over the last two seasons he has been nothing short of immense, inspirational and a joy to watch. Add to that that he seems to to have city in his blood now and that makes him a hero.

Preaching to the choir. I think it'd be hard to find a true City fan who doesn't love this guy. He gives his all every match. Best RB in the PL for me, i may be a bit bias.

Did we lose Kompany as captain? I love Zab, but that's pretty disrespectful to Kompany.

I don't think the OP meant his post as a slight on #4 at all.

I look at them as 1(a) and 1(b). The heart of the club.

To me Kompany is the "statesman" while Zab is the "foot soldier".

Both have their role.

Yep...watch a Kompany press conference. Zabs can't do that. But if I was going to pick one guy to go on to the pitch with a bloddy head bandage....

If you ever doubted what City means to Zabba (if you can bear it) look at his reaction to the Rag winning goal last season. Great player who loves us.

I know what you mean. There was a match against Liverpool that I recall which personified your first 2 sentences, where Zaba got a yellow and gave away a free kick, and I was so angry with him, and then years later, I can forgive him because I think Mascherano had nearly broken someones leg and I realised these guys were in a fight!

And Zabs, was showing everyone through his actions, that he was absolutely committed to what was going on.

And then on Inside City when Zabs was shown the little kid who showed up looking like Mr Bump with the bandage around his head, like Pablo had worn at the last game after a nasty gash caused by him sticking his head in when necessary. He responded firstly with "Oh look, a little Zabaleta!" And then went on to humbly joke about how, does that little kid know what his future has in store?

Well, a world of praise from me about Zabman!
