Zinchenko Signed (official)

This kid and his transfer is legitimately fascinating, I've felt we haven't done this sort of signing for such a long time, getting a player who's not really well known and comes from a smaller club. I'm excited.
 
If Manuel was still here I'd have zero doubt that he'd be shipped out on loan somewhere.

Now I'm not so sure.

Well Zucculini wasn't well known and came from a smaller club.

When we signed him there were rumours that we wanted to back out of the deal, I feel we ended up going through with it to keep a good relationship with the club and to have a look at him just incase we were wrong about him, its not really worked out and I think Txiki is just trying to quietly sell him off.

Back on topic, looking forward to seeing him play. Probably got 2/3 weeks to convince Pep that he deserves a first team slot or we find him a loan.

Zinchenko and his agent have been pretty clear they don't want, and aren't expecting a loan, so that would not be a good way to start his City career.

Makes sense - he can play left back, left wing, right wing, #10 or as a central midfielder.


But gives us serious problems squad wise. Assuming we get the names we are linked with (Stones, Rulli, Sané, Peres) and the players expected leave (Kolarov, Willy, Zaba)

We've got 3 too many foreign players by my count.
