I have always slated him until I actually watched him play, he has one of the best touches in the world and plays as if its just natural to him. Not sure the prem would be his kinda thing. Home games he would be amazing but not so sure about away games.

I sincerely fucking hope not.

30 years old. 31 before the years out.

Barca don't bomb expensive signings out without good reason, wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Yaya Toure???

Toure didn't cost a fortune and wasn't bombed out after 1 year at the club.

Barca didn't make a huge loss on Yaya like they did with ZI.

IMO the time has now come to sign a player on ability and not age .
We now need players who will have an immediate impact .
If we do sell Edin then Zlatan would be a perfect replacement .
He would bring proven quality to the squad and would be perfect for the prem .

Why perfect for the Prem?

He will be 31 a couple of months into the season.

Wages 200k a week? 4 year contract?

£40M in wages + transfer fee.

£65M+ for guy who's almost 31, seriously???[/quote

Big strong , technique is awesome .
His goal scoring record is good .
Won endless amounts of league titles wherever he's played.
Knows how to play under pressure for top big clubs .
He sets himself the highest standards .
I think you should invest some time in watching what he brings to a side .

A lesson in centre forward play tonight.

Great movement,industrious,strong,dangerous,brave and clinical.

Every time he was on the ball you knew something could happen, brilliant.
Ahem... great talent but certainly not "industrious", he would make even Balo look "hard working".

Personally, I wouldnt mind him here, he has incredible skill but I fear the "anti-City" British media would give him a very hard time.

3 concerns:
1. If the club can strike a good deal regarding fee and wages with FFP in mind.
2. Ibra is prepared to receive a press slating many weeks with enough self confidence to let his performances remain uneffected.
3. He unconditionally accepts Mancini's authority and doesnt disrupt the dressing room even if he doesnt get his own way.

Well he certainly put himself about tonight,he was knocking Ukranians around for fun, real old school centre forward play, they couldn't handle his power and technique - love it.

Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli.

You want to improve on that and there are maybe 3 strikers in Europe who would do that: Ronaldo, Messi for sure, and Zlatan too. Another great display tonight with a goal and some great flicks that should have led to more goals

Love to see him at City, but the chances must be minimal. If we're going to spend £30m plus ideally it would be to strengthen an area where we are not so strong. In reality top quality players don't become available very often so our signings will probably be determined as much by availability as anything else.

I've seen him play plenty of times, and more often than not he's been poor, unless playing in Italy.

He was a failure in Spain, that's why Barca got rid.

He's suited to Italy and Italian football, think it would be a huge gamble to bring him to England at his age.

You really want to spunk £65M in wages and fee on a guy who's 31 this year?

Utter madness IMO. So what he had a good game tonight, Sheva scored 2 as well, maybe we should pair em up next season "shakes head"

He wins titles everywhere. I don't understand people who say they don't rate Ibra. he's one of the most gifted footballers I have ever seen, and he's that talented he doesn't even have to try that hard to be effective. he makes the game look easy which is maybe why some think he's lazy and arrogant.

I don't think we should pay £65m for him I'm not too sure where that figure has come from .
He failed in Spain because the Barca president bought him and he fell out with Pep .
He's gone in record saying he rates Mancini as the best coach he's worked with and like I said before age isn't an issue with this guy just look at Drogba's performance over the last few seasons .
To compare Zlatan to Sheva is ludicrous IMO .

I have a mixed opinion on him. On one hand he is fantastic player but the other he could be like when Roman Abramovic signed Shevchenko and he bombed big time in England.
