Messi's talent is unique. Zlatan and Cristina are on the same level.

What makes Zlatan stand out is his physique. When he came to Milan, their "MIlanLab" did their standard tests on him. They said that Zlatan came out on top of all Milan players of the last 30 years. No one was close. And Milan have had some decent players. Zlatan is a monster.

He will be a HUGE asset especially against Stoke et al.

Most folks agree that Martin Olsson, a defender, was the best Swedish player against England and Zlatan next (for the tournament Zlatan was the best Swedish player). Kalllstrom, a midfielder, was decent probably next after Zlatan & Olsson.

BTW are we discussing forwards? Then Dutch strikers were poor if we are considering them.

Agree, Walcott was on the pitch for half an hour and despite "lacking a football brain" got a goal and an assist.

As already said Ibra would n't improve our team; he failed at the one team who did n't play the ball up to him quickly, they did that against arsenal and it worked but you can honestly say you would change ours or barcelona's playing style to that boring and dull football for all of our matches regardless of the opposition.

If we want to do that some of the time we have got Mario, he has improved his hold up play and is capable of bullying opposing CBs and fits our team than better a kung foo kick enthusiast who practices on his team mates.

ZI is as good a player as Ronaldo....Really?

To old, would cost a fortune in wages and fee.

I seem to remember Zlatan pushing Lescott aside like he was made of paper. If Mario does that sunday, well maybe you have a point but at the moment I don't think Mario is even close in terms of strength and technique. He does have the potential though, and I'm in the camp that thinks Zlatan would be a fantastic mentor for him, if Mario would allow himself to be mentored.

Also the notion that Zlatan failed on the pitch at Barcelona doesn't really rhyme with me. He didn't feature as heavily towards the end, but that was because of his dispute with Guardiola and not because he didn't fit in the team. He's a better player now than he was a few years ago too.

However I could see him go missing in cold winter games away against WBA or something. But he doesn't really do that in Italy much these days either, and they have some cold winters too.

I don't think anyone has,however,that is now irrelevant.

Spot on, just face it lads Ibrahimovic excels playing a style of football unlike our own that is quick and direct rather than patient, efficient possesion with an emphasis on team play. I also don't think players like Silva or Nasri would excel playing this style or playing alongside Ibrahimovic, Mario is improving his back to goal skillset and was excellent away at Porto, he did n't score but bullied a big strong defence and a goal came because of this. Im not interested in a player like Ibrahimovic who stolls around lethargically whilst his team mates put in a shift, what is the point of signing he is n't a young player, would have high wages would n't improve us as a team and the goals he would score are irrelevant as we already have two 20-goals-a-season strikers in Tevez and Aguero and two players who can score at least 10 and are capable of scoring 20 goals as well.

We don't need a new striker this season and we should infact be looking as younger players for the future; players like John Guidetti and Jose Angel Pozo.
