I think you need a few things and one of the main points is the platform. Real are the bronze oil chested 70's porn star with utd it's fluffer and PSG and Bayern the supporting cast. Look at Barcelona, they had the real galacticos as we do now but i don't think i can recall a time it was ever attributed to them. The purchase must be seen as ostentatious and lavish to, just the stuff Ed and Perez live for.
If you are right then we must hope that we have no galacticos and that one never sets foot in the place, because I think all of our players put the football before anything else. They are an approaching brilliant side, but still come across as a gang of mates playing for each other and the badge.

Galacticos are purely for Real Madrid. Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Kaka usually world record fee or close to it, eye catching exciting style of play and fairly good looking. Not sure the latter applies to Bale though.

We have a team full of stars in the making. Even our better players like Silva and KDB are not quite players in the galactico mould and Aguero is getting on in terms of age. Our main player is the team work and the system that brings the best out of everyone. People talk about how much we have spent but a lot of those sums are for the benefits these players will bring in the course of future seasons i.e.their potential.

It's interesting to note that even though we have spent a lot, Pep has not bought a single "galactico". On the other side, Mourinho signed 3 galacticos - Zlatan, Pogba and Sanchez (4 if Bundesliga POTY Mkhi can be included).
