Wow .. alot of hatred for Estate Agents. I am a Recruitment Consultant myself, I have done all types of sales roles from commission only to roles with a high basic. I have always conducted myself in the same manner and I have been successful. Not arrogant, slimy, filthy, big headed etc ..

Its just certain people in any industry give others a bad name. Do all chinese takeaways taste the same, do all pubs feel the same, do all estate agents provide the same service .. NO ..

We all have our favourite Chinese, our favoruite pub etc .. so with regards to tarring all estate agents with the same brush is just ignorant and childish, not all provide the same service and some are obviously better than others .. calling the poor guy all the names under the sun .. for asking someone on here for some advice .. not selling you anything you idiots.

Anyway, recruitment is great and aslong you get in with a good company, you will succeed. I will however steer well clear of IT as its dying on its arse at the moment and there is not alot of business out there. Go for engineering which is what i'm in, or professional services.

The thing is .. if I was an Estate agent .. I'd probably ignore you, but I'm not, more than welcome to ring me up at my office. Like I said, I'm a Recruitment Consultant. You do know there is a difference now don't you. 2 totally different jobs and industries. But being on the dole, I suppose you don't get out much apart from having to get your rizla's and baccy ..
