Ok is a bank holiday and things go a bit barmy in the news but here's the latest pile of horse shit peddled out for the government for the rise in gun crime.
'There's a responsibility for middle class people that take cocaine at a dinner party that when they see a story of a 15-year-old boy stabbed in Hackney,' says David Gauke
David Gauke argued individuals who consume cocaine at dinner parties are to blame for street violence in cities across the UK.

“People who do that have to recognise they are fuelling the industry that’s resulting in the knife crimes, resulting in the difficulties we’re having in prisons,” the Conservative MP for South West Hertfordshire told Sky News’ Sophie Ridge on Sunday.

So what next folks how about we blame alchol because if the parents we say in the pub having a few jars or perhaps sat at home having a few glasses of chablet over a meal. No they should have their 15 year at home teaching them good conservative. This has nothing to do with 1000's of front police cuts and budget cuts or prevention schemes.

No its your fault says middle class parents Mr Gauke (Gorp) for taking the devils dandruff at parents even though you and your fellow MP's have been and are still probably taking it all them time.

He's not blaming them; he's saying that people who use cocaine should understand the grim realities of the industry they're funding. Most people don't give a second thought to all the death and misery that has gone into producing what they're about to hoover up their noses. It's a point that is very well made in the book 'Narconomics', which I'd recommend to anyone. Of course, the obvious solution to all this is to legalise drugs, but that would just be far too sensible.

He's absolutely spot on. Greed causes suffering, and the coke industry is brutal.

There was a brilliant strip in Viz years ago 'Pete Doherty' 's Cocaine' that broke down the cocaine industry to its bare essentials.

Spot on.

We have always known this and no one is denying the fact, but somehow linking this to the rise in knife crime in London is wrong. At some point the government has to take responsibility for what it has caused.
