City are in trouble, according to this fountain of knowledge..

I totally agree Sam. I was just pointing out to that clown Attwood that far from being in cahoots with Qatar, Abu Dhabi has ganged up against them. It is indeed a shithouse tactic and disappointing to see from a City supporting point of view. Hope everything is ok over there mate and this all settles down sooner rather than later.
Cheers fella. :-)

Attwood is a fucking idiot though, you're right.

Thanks for that, just spent an enjoyable half hour reading the replies. Hilarious

I was going to quote a few but this one is the best.

Whatever the merits of this article I’d just like to say to all the City fans that have taken the time to comment on this article, please don’t insult our intelligence by trying to pretend that having an Arab State using you as a National advertising campaign is in some way all about fairness and equal opportunity. What tosh.

It’s simply about a Nation State spending a Billion quid or more to buy titles and Trophies, in the highest profile League in the World, in order to increase it’s stature and wealth.

    You are a marketing toy.

It could of been any Club, you was just unfortunate it was you.

That’s right, unfortunate, so no I am not jealous.

But I am pissed off that what the ‘oilers’ have done, has been allowed to happen, because it has had such an adverse effect on the Club I love, and I believe, an ultimately damaging long term effect on the Premier League as a whole.

I would of much rather yourselves, and the £1 Club from West London, had actually run your Clubs a little better over the previous 15 years or so years and not sacked there managers about once every 12 months, and had instead built your Clubs with a good board, enlisting good managers, buying good players, playing good football.

I mean that’s quite a good way to do it don’t you think?

    Who stopped you doing that?

Was it Man Uniteds fault? Arsenals fault?

I suppose it was there fault you couldn’t run your Club properly was it? Come on !

So please, don’t pretend it’s about ‘Giving the small Clubs a chance’. It’s about buying your place at the table as opposed to earning it.

When the lucrative premiership started up, yourselves, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, etc. where all in exactly the same position as us, but you cocked it up. That’s the truth of the matter.

You missed the boat and it’s YOU that got jealous. Jealous of your brilliantly run neighbours rubbing your delicate little blue noses in it for 20 years.

So rather than coming over here getting all defensive, just admit you messed up. You messed up and you cant be bothered to put the graft in to EARN your place in the ‘elite’ group, as you like to call them. Just admit you’ve bought your way in and you’re going to carry on buying it and you’re perfectly happy to keep on buying it.

But please, stop kidding yourself your some kind of martyr to the cause because you’re fooling nobody.

Yes. If you bought your place at the table in the 30s it doesn't count. Nor apparently does a big cash injection in the 90s.

But you said there was economic sanctions against Qatar and that there was no movement of people or goods.

When I pointed out that wasn't true you stated "a little knowledge is dangerous and it's different on the ground" so seeing as I'm on the ground and can actually see what is going on (the panic buying lasted about an hour and the supermarkets are back to normal and haven't run out of anything) then the "fucking" is entirely justified.

You made the situation is Qatar out to be far worse than it actually is. There are no queues of people at border posts, there is one border and it's with Saudi and it is shut and likely to be so for a while. Everyone just turned and went home and it was mainly goods vehicles anyway.

Went to Oman for a meeting and back this morning and everything was normal, the flight just took about 30 minutes extra around UAE airspace.

Glad to hear it.

Don't agree about 'fucking'though.

It´s funny how he seems to believe that Etihad is a company owned/controled by Sheikh Mansour.. While Arsenal is sponsored by by Emirates that is owned by Sheikh Mansours father in law.

Meanwhile our Sheiky sits on the ADIA board..

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) is a sovereign wealth fund owned by Emirate of Abu Dhabi (in United Arab Emirates) founded for the purpose of investing funds on behalf of the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. It manages the Emirate’s excess oil reserves, estimated to be as much as $1.329 trillion. Its portfolio grows at an annual rate of about 10% compounded.[1] The fund is a member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds and is therefore signed up to the Santiago Principles on best practice in managing sovereign wealth funds.[2]

ADIA has never published how much it has in assets but estimates have been between $800 billion to approximately $875 billion USD.[3] The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute puts the figure at US$792 billion.[4]

For Dubai read Abu Dhabi & vica verca.

Sheikh Mo (Dubs) daughter is one of Our Sheikhs wives.

Abu Dhabi financed Dubs loans in 2007/08 & completed Burj Khalifa & a host of other infrastructure projects.

Abu Dhabi is the Capital with the oil & is pretty 'conservative' but Dubai is the driving force for all of the UAE & is a truly international city.

They are 3 steps ahead of most of the world regarding innovation, technology & planning.

Expo2020 will be an unbelievable showcase well worthwhile visiting.

Someone should send that to the prick, just to see if he blocks it.
