According Chilean media, Claudio Bravo will not be convoked for the matches against Paraguay and Bolivia next week. They just say that Juan Antonio Pizzi, coach of Chile, mentioned some family and personal issues as the cause of this situation.

Hopefully he is settling in a doing some training etc with us rather than flying half way round the globe.

According Chilean media, the reasons are three:

1) Settling new house in Manchester
2) Looking for school for children
3) Responsibility with his new club thinking in the Manchester derby. Getting accustomed with fellow players, training, etc...

(Corrections with my English are highly appreciated)

Much appreciated thanks m

Bravo does'nt have work permit, so he stayed in England for processing, that is the reason that has been given here in Chile.

4) Moving his things into Joe's locker. ;-)

Just watched the interview video with him on YouTube. Seems like a top class professional and a top class father. Welcome to City.

Perhaps, but Joe's had over a year to try and adapt. We knew about Pep coming in, and his preferred style of play at least a year ago. To think that an employee of the club wasn't aware of this even sooner is absolute naivety in the extreme. We as fans do not have a clearer picture than the club and it's employees, despite what we may think. We don't train and converse with these people day in day out. We merely pick up media snippets (most of which have very little foundation). Joe seems to have decided that he doesn't want to adapt - which he's quite entitled to do. However, if he has chosen to do things his way then he has to to be prepared to accept the consequences should it go tits up.

How can you adapt, when you're playing in a team (Pellegrini's) not set up to play that way ?

Out of 15 000 available minutes a week, he played in a Pellegrini team for 90 minutes. What other chance did he have to adapt his game? If only he'd known Guardiola was coming and he'd known he was coming for over six months he might have had a chance.........
