You honestly think Otamendi should be mentioned with the likes of Kompany, Kun, Tevez and Silva?
We're conceding on average 2 goals a game when he starts.
He's still new though. The guy was in La Liga team of the year last season so didn't look a risk at all. Valencia have been struggling massively without him this season.

Yeh there is no doubt Cook was instrumental in signing what is still the spine of our team. You could argue FFP as a hindrance to Txiki but he has had huge backing from the board over the past 3/4 years.As per previous post, both signed by Garry Cook

He needs to deliver Pogba to us in the summer, a few big Yaya/Aguero quality signings needed to take us to the next level.
Rough calculation, even with FFP Txiki's had 300m plus to spend.
Amazing with that backing we still rely so heavily on the signings from the summers of 2010 and 2011.

As long as he keeps to fuck away from portugal he might yet sign someone useful. De Bruyne and sterling are good players for sure but the team hasn't improved for them. Otamendi is not nearly good enough either, far too easily bullied by any big physical player of which in this league there are plenty. no point in mentioning mangala or fernando as they are so far below the required standard. Every player he has bought so far are already established players, when is he going to come up with an as yet undiscovered gem.
