Why would we be discussing his contract unless there's an automatic annual review period.
He's been out for a good part of the season as well.
I'm sure it'll be same as Sterling and hoping he has a good tournament to be in a stronger bargaining position. He seems happy enough.

And why?; well it is because of the modern day footballers like Jesus and Sterling, coupled with their agents. I simply can no longer stand anything that modern football offers. Whether it's the player's ego, the agent's greed, pationless sanitised stadia, ridiculous kick off times, media saturation and the business philosophy and commercialism of it all, it's simply extinguished my fire for the game.

This from someone, who at the age of 12, often used to walk for 2 hours to attend games at Maine Rd, just so I could save my bus fare to ensure I could buy both a match programme and then a football pink once I was back home. That's the pation I once had for City, fuelled by the mystique, that our club could once generate within me!

My only consolation I suppose is that whatever he earns, and whoever he plays for in the future, it won't be funded by me.

Ah, but Firmino plays for one of the media's pet clubs. If they had their way all top international sides would consist of rag, Spurs and Liverpool players, with a few plucky Welsh and Irishmen from the likes of Sunderland and Southampton.

This can be the only reason LaLa gets in the England squad. A handful of games this season (and it's a handful of games this season that keeps Joe Hart on the bench, and plenty of other players!) and pretty useless to boot!

Jesus just wants a bit more dosh to put him in line with other forward players in the team.

He has every right to hold out for a bit more and doesn't have to accept the first contract given to him. Hardly sounds like he's being a dick about it.

So you were happy watching Danny Mills, Steve McMinimum etc robbing a living from us but Jesus and Sterling getting the going rate is the final straw. My advice would be to stop reading the papers and coming on here and just continue going to see the best City side any of us have ever seen.

So much to say about this post Mr and it's not to have a go at you but more to convince you why you shouldn't give up your season card
You must be, or close to being, a FOC (I'm not far off that myself) how much are you paying for your season card?

If true, the 90k p/w is less than the mediocre Lingard earns now.
In his position I'd be asking City to rethink the offer also.
