Don't think it's a million miles from either Fallowfield or Withington ?The Claremont is not the nearest pub to Maine Road FC by a stretch.
Chorlton is a short walk
Think Withington is a better choice to get a bus down Mauldeth Road, but a bit further to walk...

Looking to check out a non-league team but can’t bring myself to go Latics/Macc where a big percentage of their fans probably hate City.

I’ve been to Maine road fc a couple of times. Good fun. Proper muddy goal areas, jumpers for goalposts vibes. And they weren’t bothered about us drinking our own cans on the terrace as there’s no bar (that we could see anyway!)
