Malt whisky drinkers: Did you start with blends and has anybody gone back to them?

'Scotch Whisky Auctions' is a good site to go on.

They have an online auction once a month with whiskys from all over the world. The whisky varies from cheap stuff to mega expensive. Even if you don't know much about whisky it's easy enough to google the bottle price prior to bidding.

If you don't get carried away there's some great bargains to be had.

You neck a bottle, get pissed, wake up pissed off you've spent 200 quid on a bottle? I don't understand why anyone would.

Rather donate 200 quid to a deserving charity if i had that kind of money to fritter away.
I might neck a 200 quid bottle in one night but if I'd paid for it :)

The auction can cater for people looking for a good blend at £15 right up to a dealer spending in ecess of £15,000. If you're into whisky it's good for a nosey whether you buy or not. Hic
