Absolutely.This is wholly the fault of the current government, and the blame has to lie squarely at Theresa May's door. Their rights were effectively guaranteed in the Immigration Act of 1971 in that they were given indefinite leave to stay in Britain. It's only new legislation, implemented by the current government, that requires that all migrants must now have the right official paperwork. It's an absolute scandal.

Legislation not thought through - policy instigated with no understanding of this wider ramifications the completely blanked by the govt in then person of one T. May. Home Sec. who has been shamed into a meeting today that a couple of days ago they said couldn't take place.
Tonight they are trying to move the blame onto the coalition and the Lib Dems.............shameful and doesn't help that under May the Home Office destroyed records that would now help back in 2010

The only documentation all of these people had, that confirmed absolutely their claim of legality, were
landing cards. These were destroyed by a Labour Home secretary.
So re-examine that social conscience, it requires that confirmation bias needs taking out of the equation.

landing cards wouldn't have been an issue had she not changed the rules when she was home secretary, so it's on her.
