Yaya contract

I am struggling to remember seeing any player in any game give the ball away so many times in such a short space of time.
The first 5-10 minutes of that second half from Toure was breathtakingly awful.

All the signs are there that he's recently been informed of the decision regarding his future.

i am always baffled by what people see/watch/pay attention to during the game... the second half, except for the goal Arsenal had no chances (MOTD showed nothing from them in the 2nd half that's usually a pretty good indication)... we finally slowed down the game to keep the crowd out of it... limited their chances in the box ( i don't think Giroud had a touch in the box), Alexis was playing defense most of the 2nd half... do people really think that it was a coincidence that it happened when Yaya came on the field? Yes he does not run and scores any longer (he is 33 years old) and has played a lot of football in his life... his role now is to slow down the game, make sure we don't loose the ball during build up and get us going... why do you think Xhaka was almost man marking him during our build up? I agree that he will be gone next year... i see him with a team like Everton and he will make them top 5 or very close because he will be afforded protection just like Pierlo was in his last days at Juve...

Yes. Every team needs a player who can slow the game down to walking pace. Lucky old Everton.

I think Yaya has known his fate for some time now. His " walk on " appearances recently have shown that.

you obviously missed my point... this was a poor attempt at comparing his role to Pirlo but with willing runners and midfielder who like to defend like Everton has... but what do i know...

Didn't miss your point. Just do not agree. I want City to improve year on year, will not happen by trying to build a team round a 34 year old well last his best.

I would go the doctors if I were you, that constant blinking problem is playing havoc with your eyesight, the only thing I can think that is wrong with you if you didn't see Yaya misplace plenty of passes and the first 5/10mins of the second half he was awful, especially around our own box.

whoa! i forgot for a minute the type of forum i was on... rather than argue my point you insult or attempt to insult or whatever it is you are doing... but good luck with that

He did improve but you are right his first 10 minutes were awful - no focus at all.

and i agree with you that he is leaving... but yesterday he was brought on to slow down the game and regain possession and he helped with that... that's the simple point i was attempting to make... but yes Yaya is history and he knows it and i believe Pep will remedy all in the next year
