I doubt we are signing him this summer.....so don't stress it. :)
Yep . it's done. The kid doesn't know how to hide some of his talent :( Putting all his tool out in public view like that would get him bough for 60 million at this rate.

He's a lot better than kelechi and offers more. Speaking of which I'll be surprised if kelechi is still here next season
He should do for £50mil+ and 3x the wages. I think we're foolish to get rid of a proven goalscorer for someone having one good season in the French league. I say we spend the money on fullbacks, Isco, CB and a GK and re-assess next season.

Just out of interest, how does he compare to Gabriel Jesus?

A special talent is a special talent regardless of the league. A better question might be to ask if the skill set you see from him will transition and for me it's definitely yes.

There isn't anything wrong with your assessment of where the money would be spent but I'd swap out the CB purchase for this kid. Aleks has shown he's more than capable, give vinnie another year, and don't give up on Nico just yet.

Personally, I don't think we have much of a chance at him unless Aguero leaves and that probability is is shrinking each week. I haven't seen enough of him to compare him to gabriel but @MillionDollarDream might be able to give you a good answer there.

If we started to get into Peps mindset by reading as much as possible on his career as a coach we will find he is not like other managers. So we need to stop thinking conventionally.
We have 3 great young players playing up front. Sane, Sterling and Jesus. Pep will want 5 players to cover the 3 positions. Mbappe would be ideal. If we brought Roberts back that would give us our 5. Kun will leave for a huge sum of money and Nacho will go on loan. Navas and Nolito to leave also.

Funny enough 1 think Nolito stays at the 5th attacking player and Roberts stays out on loan.

I agree with most of the posts above, this lad is a must buy at all costs, regardless of the cost, however I think it will be the season after in which Monaco decide to cash in on him. Bring him in and we have our strikeforce set for the next decade.

Unreal talent. He is completely from a different planet.

Like Diaz and Sancho?

All we need is Mbappe alongside the others and we can look to slowly introduce Diaz and Sancho.

Iheanacho in my opinion isn't good enough. Good poacher, but a lot lacking in his game in comparison to the other players we have got in attacking positions. I personally think Diaz and Sancho also are much better talents than Iheanacho. They have a much higher ceiling.

This kid is ridiculous. If we don't snap him up, we will live to regret it for the next decade.
Clichy, Sagna, Zabaleta, Kolarov; 3 of which are out of contract this summer.

Sterling, Sane, Aguero, Jesus; all starting calibre, all under long contracts.

Which area screams "must buy"?

He'd be a luxury signing, for the sake of another team not getting him. Why would he come here to play every other game, at best?

You can't sign every great talent, especially if we're already well set at their position. Next season there'll be another "OMG, he's well good, we have to get him or I'll cry" player in his position that everyone will be screaming for.

I personally don't think he will be sold in the summer anyway, but as and when he comes available, you just can't rest on your laurels. French media continue to label this boy as being from a different planet and I would completely agree.

Why let anyone else particularly in the premier league take one of the most exciting talents for years when we could add him to our squad of young stars?

Pep is trying to begin a revolution at this club, Mbappe would be such a perfect signing in terms of securing what could be one of the most deadliest forward lines the world has seen for decades.

If we want to have aspirations of winning the champions league, we need to be ruthless in making our moves for exceptional talents and he is one of them. As for the defence, as I said we should be looking at prioritising that first but as and when a player like this comes available, we can't stand around twiddling our thumbs like we did when we prioritised Mangala over signing a player like Alexis Sanchez. We well and truly got our fingers burnt there.

Agree, full backs are a must buy for me.

Full backs definitely are the key area for us, but if a player like Isco becomes available at a reasonable price given that he is in last year of his contract, we have to take the risk of signing him.

Silva won't last forever and would be such an ideal replacement for many years to come.

I think his namesake at Monaco is the one but suspect it would blow most of our budget.

Thats what I mean, buying someone like Bernardo Silva comes at a very expensive premium, getting someone like Isco in his current situation could be one hell of a bargain with the chance of still having enough money in the kitty to build the rest of the squad.

So you say we' regret it for the next decade, when we'll presumably be watching Sané, Jesus and Sterling walking out for Coventry or something?

Jesus was the next big talent we couldn't miss out on, we signed him. Now Mbappe, same positions, we can't miss out on. Then next season there'll be Jimmy Amazeballs we can't miss out on up front.

Yet they'll all come here and take turns sitting on their thumbs every other week... will they fuck.

Once people realise it's not black and white when it comes to talented youngsters, maybe they'll stop kicking and screaming over the latest shiny new thing.

If we did sign Sanchez, I doubt we'd have Sterling at the very least.

Isco in place of Silva in a little while makes sense at least. Mbappe when we've 3 young forwards and one of the best strikers in the world in his prime years, doesn't. Certainly not to the extent of "must buy"
