Stoke post match thread

Average players don't win premier league titles with two different clubs and the amount of trophies this lad has won. Take the weight off your brain for a few minutes and have a think about that. Daz 'True Blue' my arse....

Clearly haven't been following City for very long if you think some of these players are 'dog shite'. You sound about just what the team needs when the going gets tough. An immature gobshite who turns on his own team. I would rather stick pins in my testicles then have to sit next to a fuckwit like you for 90 minutes listening to the shite that you spout. Past your bedtime now fella. Don't be late for school in the morning and don't let your Ma catch you playing with yourself whilst dribbling over pics of Ryan Giggs again......

I'll happily provide you with some pins.

Proved again tonight without silva we've fuckall creativity going forward, merlins really gonna take some replacing, if its possible??
Very true. He was the best player and he only played half an hour. Players like Sane and KDB were very disappointing.

what's silly about it?

It's completely unfounded and we weren't catching Chelsea anyway?

We've been doing really well lately and one goal-less draw is apparently evidence City don't care about the league title. Beggars belief.

Irritated as hell. Pep the genius out maneuvered by Hughes..Arrogance or stupidity ???

Come on now, that's grossly unfair. Stoke parked the bus but any of our attackers do their job and you post something different tonight.

We missed several sitters and let Stoke away with it.

Leagues gone now. Get top 4 sealed and focus on the 2 cups.

Stoke didn't even try to win the game, just parked the bus for 90 minutes as expected. Game didn't start till Silva game on, as suspected we missed him and Sterling massively.

Need to sign another creative player in the summer (Isco?) for when we rotate and rest players.

Can't believe this shite prevented me from watching Barca win 6-1. Just fuck off
So you wanted to watch a member of the old G14 cartel? You wanted to watch one of the clubs that wanted to change the financial rules to leave us fucked? You wanted to watch one of the two clubs that take a the lion's share of Spanish TV money to ensure a level playing field is something they never have to worry about? You wanted to watch dives to win penalties? Seems legit.
As for our lot I think I've just witnessed the footballing embodiment of the phrase fetid pile of rancid wombat's kidneys. We knew they'd park the bus and had no answer until Silva came on, and even then we couldn't hit the target. It doesn't matter how many go high and wide as none of them count. An earlier poster mentioned Kolarov's free kick was our only shot on target. That is a bloody awful statistic for a team trying to cement a place in the top four.
Even the fire drill was delayed until the 85th minute as some fans thought we'd snatch a late winner. But we'd have to shoot on target for that.
KDB bloody awful for 80 minutes, Dino also poor, Yaya OK and Otto won a lot in the air at the back.

I totally agree.

Who's that very left footed lad at Monaco he looked the closest thing I've seen to Dave since Dave.

3 very winnable points down the toilet. Puts a lot of pressure on the next three much more difficult matches. Should have gone all out in this one and taken anything from the next three as a bonus.
7 points and tonight won't be such a disaster.

The worry is he will rest half the team with Monaco coming up. Boro will be well up for this, take it lightly and we'll be stung

Wouldn't surprise me. We've got to afford Pep a first season, hopefully with a few recruitment's we won't look like dog shit when the squad players come in.

How about no. With the benefit of hindsight, watching the greatest European comeback ever, would certainly have been better than watching a 0-0 bore fest. That is quite clear. You don't have to be a Barca fan to wish you'd watched a match of theirs. It's really not a difficult concept to grasp, but I'll help you out further if you need it.

Nobody forces you to watch City, I couldn't care less about other clubs, I'm more pissed off at dropping 2 points rather than missing another teams game.

We need a good few players in the summer! The back up isn't good enough and a couple of the first team are not either

The rest of the league are pissing their sides at us shooting ourselves in the foot. We give hope out like a fucking vicar..
That is the trouble - we don't f*ckin' shoot. Their keeper had nothing to save.

Navas equals no balance. No balance equals disjointed play. Disjointed play is what we got.
Very Pellegrini tonight.

I agree that Silva can't play every minute and Sterling needs a rest but Navas is no good against the parked bus and never has been. When he plays we are far too predictable.

I don't actually mind him as a player he just detracts from our possession and dynamism game so much.
His contracts up now, if we're resting Sané or Sterling then we need one of the young lads in or a total change of shape.

Nothing wrong with the team selection. That starting 11 should be beating Stoke at home. Period. End of story. Every time.

Those trying to put that on Pep are just looking for reasons to do so.

The squad, though, isn't as strong as we think. There is a huge drop from how we've been playing/dropping Sterling to tonight's type of performance. De Bruyne is a top top player but hasn't yet learned how to run a football match. He's a shadow player. Silva next to him and it's a different story. He has to start running these types of games.

What we've done is lost the breathing room we would have had with a win. Now I think we are going to have to win 2 of the 3 games against chelsea/Liverpool and arsenal. A win today and 1 would have been suffice.
