It's Quiet - a new dawn

Fabinho would be a brilliant signing. Allows Pep to bring in a fullback into midfield when in possession.

Report in the Express I read this morning suggesting Jordi Alba, Rafinha and Andre Gomes have enquirer with Pep about possibly linking up with him ? After becoming disillusioned under Enrique this season

According to A Bola, Manchester City manager, Josep Guardiola, is almost done signing Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson (23) from Benfica. Equipped with an additional Portuguese passport, the player will be probably traded on an about 36 million euros fee.

Alba is the only one who's remotely good enough. The other two aren't up to standard. Also worth adding that Enrique is leaving in two months so I assume they'll also change their minds.

Dunno how reliable "Bild" are,but they are claiming that Pep had a meeting on Tuesday with Gordon Stipic, the agent of Sead Kolasinac.
Would apparently be a free transfer.

Bild are the German The Sun, so I'm not marking this one down yet.

He's a defender who can play full back, centre back and defensive midfielder, so his flexibility would appeal to Pep. He's often seen as more of an enforcer, physical type (he's definitely more De Jong than Toure) but he's got 5 assists in 19 Bundesliga games this year and from what I've seen looks quite comfortable going forward, particularly from left back. Only 23, too.

Not convinced he's even that good. They only upside is he's a potential free transfer.

I mean, his flexibility would prove useful for squad depth and if our other targets at left back don't pan out he'd make a reasonable addition.

We can do a lot better, but at the very least he'd make a younger Fernando off the bench

Ehhhh, no! Alba is good because We have a need at LB. But Rafinha is the gem we should want. Frankly I'll take all 3 if I could.

Isn't Alba like 28/29? Rather have a younger full back than have the same problem we've got now in 2-3 years time. Don't rate his defensive game either, once his pace goes he will be useless

Anything concrete in Kolasinac rumor? He'd make a very good LCB in our system.

I always like Rafinha but I'm fairly convinced he'll never amount to anything. He's like Aaron Ramsey - often injured, potentially brillaint, but never able to play at that level consistently and capable of playing 3 or 4 positions OK, but not good enough at any particular one.

The injury he got last season was very unfortunate. That was his breakthrough period where he was finally making the step up to the level needed, but he's shown nothing like that since coming back.

I think he'd be a very frustrating player for us.
