Is Chelsea's defence a shambles? We're the 3rd(?) highest scoring side in the league.

And the manager's system was working so why change it? You can't blame things on profligate finishing and the manager you have to choose one. The manager has done his job well, we're creating loads of chances, why would he change that? Perhaps he could take off the striker missing the chances? But injuries mean there's no one better.

The last nine games? What relevance is that? The title is gone because this manager was naive and tactically stupid. The system didn't work tonight, we created nothing in the second half, and we never looked like equalising. The difference between him and Conte is that Conte actually gets the best out of his players. Regardless of what people say, this has been a shite season for us, nowhere near good enough.

We've got the easiest run in, we've got a bunch of rivals playing each other and our record against teams outside the top 6 has been more than good enough to see us home.

Going into this game, we had got 19 points from the last 10 games. Chelsea had 22. That's Chelsea the runaway Champions, 0.3 points per game better than us. United had 18 points, Arsenal 14 points and Liverpool 15 points.

Anyone actually thinking we are "unlikely" to make the top 4 needs to give their head a wobble and stop being hysterical. Possibly get someone to give you a slap.

No win in 4 for us.

Hull is absolutely massive now because Southampton away next week isn't going to be easy at all.

I will be left seething if we end up letting United or Arsenal jump above us.

It's relevant because you seem to be under the impression that because we got 2 points in 3 games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea that it's going to carry on.

And I'm sorry but anyone who calls Pep Guardiola tactically stupid is an embarrassment. He's got some flaws, tactical intelligence is simply not one of them. He won the tactical battle today comfortably and was let down by the finishing of the players he's inherited.
 
I've calmed down a bit now. We will be fine for top 4 due to a lovely run in as we have only lost one game to teams outside the top 7 all season. Which paints the picture that we dominate and control games but falter when real quality breaks on us due to our average defence. Bar Utd we shouldn't be tested too much in defence given we are playing a lot of teams that aren't playing for much. We could score a hatful in the run in. I'll optimistically say 2nd.
 
I think we'll do it but another season of arse creaking for the top 4. Not sure that stacks up, I think the squad is much better than that.

It's attracting the desired players.

To get them in you have to pay them a fortune in wages.

I also don't think we have that glamour yet like United and to a certain extent Chelsea do.
