Alexis Sanchez

And if Sergio decides he does want to stay, even if it means extra competition and more time on the bench than he's used to....what about Sanchez then?
Nearly every mod on here and ric have all said the same thing about Aguero ' wouldn't be surprised if Aguero goes in the summer' probably will be announced after the server has been updated

If sergio doesn't want to stay...fair enough.

But why wouldn't he want to? cause of the extra competition?.....he has stepped up big time in meeting the new demands from Pep....

Who knows. Sergio has certainly stepped it up, which is to his credit, but whether he enjoys it, only he will know.

It's now or never for him he probably thinks, in terms of one last big move.

I would love for him to stay and listen to the widespread moans that it isn't fair the firepower we have.

Make no mistake, though, we have barely scratched the surface with Jesus.

He would be in double figures already if he had avoided injury.

Kompany will stay.

If he can't stay fit, he'd rather be unfit here than someone where he isn't as happy.

No other club will take him on with his injury record at anywhere close to the wages he is on at the moment.

IF he does stay fit then he's more than good enough to force his way into the side if he can go some way to proving that.

You seriously think our chairman would demand a fee for Vinny...

You underestimate the affection in the boardroom for our captain.

I think the chances of both leaving are very high.

Especially going in to a World Cup year where Vinny is concerned.

No chance City get rid of up to 16/18 players this summer.

Bravo (might stay)
Willy
Hart

Clichy
Sagna
Kolarov
Otamendi (not wanted apparently?)
Kompany
Zaba
Mangala
Delph (may keep)
Fernando
Nasri
Navas
Toure
Bony
Aguero
Iheanacho (rumoured?)

They go and it leaves us with only Stones, Gundogan, Fernandinho, Sterling, Sane, De Bruyne, Silva & Jesus and an unproven Garcia sorry but I just don't see that much change we'd need to buy at least 10 top class players and would probably cost upwards of 300m

Aguero gets another year for me so he can take the City record and move on to Madrid or Barcelona and finally win the Champions league.

No.

And the 2nd part is why he will stay.

He'd rather be unfit here where he is loved than unfit somewhere else.

He'll stay until the end of his contract. If he can get himself fully fit for a prolonged period of time and still isn't playing then he may look to go earlier.

Last thing on Vinne's mind at the moment is the World Cup. He just wants to play without getting hurt.

I think Jesus' return from injury will tell us a lot. If Pep drops aguero immediately then I assume that's game over.

Then we get another world class player, who wants to join, regardless.

I suspect, however, we have known for a while that Sergio is preparing to move on.

Could well be that is what Sergio is planning. As you have said before, his private life is complicated. However, he does appear to enjoy living in Cheshire and he has clearly made an effort to adapt to Pep's demands.

I think he will go but I would not be surprised if he decided to stay and have his next move be straight back to Argentina rather than via mainland Europe.

I'm most assuredly in favour of having unfair firepower.

harsh if pep dropped aguero on this current run of scoring, who could blame sergio for wanting out, aguero is still the best out there in my humble opinion

Do you think he's even playing well?

I don't. He's scoring, but he's not playing like his usual self, or his old self. He's taking 3 or 4 chances to get a goal, he's not terrorising defences like he does at his best - there's no spark. He's left behind in loads of moves and is nowhere near the box when the ball comes in, he's not really linking play like Pep would want.

If I was Pep I'd think that Jesus, in the form he arrived, would have at least 10 in 10 too given the opportunities given to Aguero, so why not drop him?

It might seem harsh but Pep isn't a City fan, he's not got blue tinted glasses when it comes to Aguero.

Agree, I personally think he's doing the bare minimum as he has done for most of the season. As soon as Jesus is back he'll displace Aguero.

There is no way GJ should jystcwalk back into the team. That would be hugelt unfair and undeserved on all 3 of the main forwards but especially aguero who has, not for the first time, been carrying the team in terms of scoring.....the rest need to step up big time.

The opportunities that are being thrown at a Aguero are actually quite difficult chances. Sure he's missed some sitters but a majority of the goals he's scored he's been surrounded by four defenders in the box.

Can't think of many players who would score many in the situation he's being presented with.

This idea that he's being given a ton of easy chances to convert and it's his fault we are losing is a false narrative and I can't understand why it has any traction.
