Referees/Officials

This season has been ridiculous but I doubt it's anything to do with Pep. We've just been very unlucky.

If you ask me though we don't moan and complain enough. Watch el clásico tonight and when one team is wronged boy do you know it. It takes a lot to rile our players and only really Yaya was kicking off today at the bad decisions. We need more of that.
Our players getting a shitty on about every poor decision will just be another excuse to book them/send them off. We are screwed either way.

There is definitely something shifty going on this season, and the FA/PGMOL are up to their scrawny necks in it.

Pep has been lauded as on of the best club managers in the world, but this season he just hasn't been able to catch a break. It is as if the FA have that "who the f**k does he think he is?" attitude. "He comes over here and thinks he can win the best league in the World does he?". "We'll f**king show him who's boss". I'm not saying this league is easy, because it isn't, but with our Team, we should be at least clear and dry top 4 guaranteed by now.

Go back a couple of seasons, and before it was known that Pep had agreed to join is, it was quite possible that he could have gone to the Rag's or elsewhere. When it came out that he was going to join us it must have seriously pissed a lot of highly influential people off, not least Darth Gill of the Swamp. We all know just how long Gill's tentacles reach, and how much sway he has.

I really don't want to believe it, but with all the dodgy decisions against us this season I really can't see any other reason for it other than an agenda against our manager and club. We have been systematically robbed of goals, unfairly booked, and amongst other things, had opposition players go unpunished for clear foul play and it has been blatant.

I seriously hope the club are compiling a dossier of incidents an instances from this season alone because the evidence is stacking up.

I agree with this totally. Under Bobby and Manuel we never had the appalling refereeing we have had this year. They are pissed off he didn't go to United.

no, the PL don't want the club succeeding, Pep is just a nice story for the media. Hopefully it makes him and he comes back with wrathful revenge which puts us into a dominant position where they have to bow and accept us as their superiors.

Big job, but that has to be his reaction.

There is no conspiracy.

Pep has failed this season and rightly deserves criticism.

If we had played better we wouldn't have discussed dodgy decisions, which happened to everybody.

If I was an outsider I could see myself getting confused and annoyed by him as some of his post-match interviews this season have been that of a child.

Webb used the term game management to explain the non booking for the foul on Silva, that is a term I use when accusing officials of swaying a game. They are there to ensure that rules are adhered to and nothing else, thoughts about how early it is, who it is or which club they play for should NOT affect their decisions. Football is being ruined by wrongful officiating, whether there is an agenda I dont know, but it is affecting my love of this sport.

One of the things that annoys me most is when it's apparently too early to book a player. A booking is a booking regardless of when in the game the foul has been committed

It's got to the point where I'm looking at the officials before celebrating as I'm expecting it to be disallowed. The refereeing this season has been worse than bad

I'm exactly the same, I just don't trust any officials now. Pre match today I said I wonder how we'll get screwed over today. Didn't take long, a few minutes in and a vicious lunge on Silva went unpunished which gave them the green light to rough us up. The disallowed goal & the denial of the penalty followed. Guess what despite all the dirty play their first booking was Sanchez & I think we had more cards than them by the end. Something needs to be done NOW! The club needs to make an official complaint and insist on a level playing field. We don't want or need favours just fair play. I've followed thus club since the 1950's and hand in heart I've never seen such an obvious and calculated campaign against any team anywhere. It's impossible to judge our performances when we are so disadvantaged, imagine today with the goal alone being allowed. I cannot believe we wouldn't be looking forward to another Cup Final. Then look at all our games just against the top teams and calculate what the points difference
would be if we'd had a fair share of rightful decisions. Conservatively we'd be 10- 15 points better off. Despite our shortcomings we'd be on the verge of a title win!

The referees job is to uphold the laws of the game in a consistent and fair manner. Those laws apply from the first whistle to the last whistle, yet for some reason, referees don't seem follow this (for whatever reason) when they referee our games.

Fucking hell you haven't been here a month yet, at least try and blend in. You're ramping up the insults too quick, be careful you don't get rumbled.

If the club won't do anything about this nonsense , then we as fans should.
How about all staying outside or on the concourse for 10 or 15 minutes after kickoff in one of their 'Super Sunday' bollocks events. An empty stadium at the start of a big game watched by 'Millions' around the world, would embarrass the bent ****s!

Next season we will see something special. I really believe we will have one hell of a team in place after the summer transfer window.

I look forward to Pep shutting everybody up next season.....I'd get your bets on now lads...haha!!!.

Webb also said Pawson was right not booking Xhaka cause he needed to save the cards for later in the match if things needed calming down. Never knew thats what bookings were for or there were only a certain number allowed to be given out! Seems we got most of those anyway.

Shafted again. Let them kick the shit out of us without cards and we ended up with 5 yellows to their 2 i think it was. Lost Silva early on due to a snidy kick. Happens every game yet we try and be physical and early yellows given.
Family invited themselves down for the game, i just let them watch and i did some photoshop editing as i knew it was pointless wasting time watching the game as knew we would be fucked over. Was not shocked by the officiating at all.
That said, incredibly bad luck also and some strange subs and shows how little in quality we have in depth (almost said delph as a typo but same point).
At the stage now and have been for some time of whats the point anymore in following a sport so corrupt and inept officialism
I feel your pain.
After 30 years home and away Anthony Taylor ended my interest in football.v chelsea
Today i didnt even bother watching. But as a football fan ,it hurts to come online and pick up the drift from disgruntled fans...

Yep they were bad and I think they should have had two red cards but I guess the refs wanted a free flowing game or just were oblivious. I guess a Spurs City final wasn't exciting enough. That's what I will say to make me feel better lol

My brother in law is a Spurs supporter and this is what he texted to me today.
"I guess we're doomed to be the 2 most attractive teams in the PL".
