Palace - Post Match Thread

Pep was gushing about him in his post match interview, he also admitted that the Prem is so much harder than the German or Spanish league.
We really do need to replace Silva with another magician in the middle in the next few seasons, I'm sure we will be scouring the globe looking for the next Silva.
He plays for Monaco at the moment.

This is Manchester City without Sergio Aguero who is an imperious goal scorer, but a not a great team player.

Our win percentage is 49% with Aguero & 71% without him..... It makes sense of the reservations Pep has about him and the way he wants us to play.

If Real showed us the money, should we take £90m for him & add it to the summer kitty?

Seems a lot of money for a player who is not a team player and results in a teams win percentage dropping considerably. Maybe we should pay them?

Magnificent performance so you can imagine my surprise when i read through 27 pages and some of our more vocal fans haven't had the time or felt the need to comment on it yet?

I think if he wants to leave this summer, he will go for the right price, other wise he will run out his contract and go back to Argentina.
He has adapted his all round game under Pep, but I think Pep wants a more Messi(-anic) player like Jesus for his system

Smash the world transfer record for Hazard, whatever it takes. Unless he'll be too old by the time Silva retires.

Amazing performance. Wasn't an easy game but an early goal really helped us. Missed a lot of chances after that but Kompany helped get the wheels rolling. Willy made a few great saves as well.

-Sane absolutely terrorized their defense. Had a few good chances, unfortunately didn't get a goal. Will be world class one day. Needs to improve decision making as well.
-Kompany was colossal and scored a worldie.
-Otamendi finally gets a goal, credit for his performance.
-Silva ran the show, we are a different team when he plays.
-De bruyne masterclass, 2 assists and a goal. Leads the league in assists with 15. Yet some think hes not having a good season and should be sold, shocking.
-Sterling scored a great goal that many will label as an easy chance, far from it. Hopefully we see more of this type of composure from him. Needs to add these goals to his game.
-G. Jesus was good despite not being 100%. Adds another dimension to our team.
-Sterling and Sane also switched sides a lot which I would like to see more of, keeps the defense guessing.
-5-0, great for our GD, could be the difference between 3rd and 4th. A lot of very good clubs in the CL qualifiers so would very much prefer to avoid it altogether.

On my 2nd beer now, might have to turn the heating up she's going a bit blue, doesn't feel that cold to me
You do know the gag goes around the mouth and not throat, right? Unless, of course, she's into that kind of thing?! :O

Jesus Christ!!!!....just listened to KDB'S after match interview on City TV. Who the hell is that guy doing the interview...what a mournful and depressing voice. I'd hate to hear what he would sound like if we lost.

Something like that has never concerned Real who just love to collect trinkets. Our form picked up when Jesus came in & dropped off when Aguero came back. Today we were back to our Jan/Feb form & I don't think it was a coincidence either......

There were a couple of instances today where we played a pass, whereby I think if Aguero was in possession, he'd have gone for goal even if it wasn't the best team option.

Yes I want him to become our highest ever goal scorer, but I want us to win more...

One of the things that we mustn't forget is that today's forward line was an average age of about 21 years old!!! England international, German international, Brazilian international. On the bench, Nigerian international who is younger than all three, but has scored more goals than any of them! Oh, and our top striker, who averages over 25 per season, and is only 1 goal away from equaling his 32 goal best season ever, was in the stands injured!!!

The future is Blue...and it portends goals, goals, and more goals!!

Absolutely fantastic performance from everyone today..Silva is such a brilliant player and deserved motm.
Should have been at least 4 up by halftime but we got the goals in the 2nd half so all's well.
The ref was usual standard for our games ie fucking abysmal, he let Palace get away with kicking our players and pulled us up for much less.
Hopefully the dippers will drop a couple of points and Arsenal finally show some fight against the rags.
MotD should be enjoyable tonight...wonder how they will manage to show Palace dominating us though ....
