It's Quiet - a new dawn

when does the transfer window actually open....ie signing, paying for and registering players??????

The rumours are very encouraging esp the fabihno one.....think we need him in our midfield...he aint yaya and need will be but he will add some physicality in there with his good passing as well

Sanchez would be great

Neymar would be a dream!

Not sold on Mbappe - excellent player but he has Real Madrid written all over him with the way he plays

2-3 fullbacks, a centre half and a goalkeeper (a number one)

a couple pf the young kids promoted and we are set

offload the likes of Navas, fernando, delph, nolito, clichy and a few others (think we should keep Sagna...good back up)

a whole summer with Pep and the players to be together and work on things should see us set for a really good tilt at things next year.....others will strengthen as well......think Chelski will get a couple of quality players in and Utd need a huge overhaul---expect them to go big (lets hope the lose mid week as that will potentially make their summer a lot lot harder)

What will arsenal do - miss out on champs league and they are in trouble......very unhappy and divided fan base and a manager who is hanging on for grim death....

What is with this paranoid fear those bastards have a 'blank cheque book'!?

We can afford more than them, we have the owner, the board and the manager to dominate those dirty little rag cünts in the transfer market and on the pitch.

The days of being grateful for Terry Cooke and celebrating a point against them are long gone. We have nothing to fear. They are scared shitless of us, and with very good fucking reason.

It's going to be a pleasant summer.

It's not a fear on any level. It's the opposite, a confidence that moving forward we will buy players who have the right mentality and the right motivation for our club as well as the right set of skills and aptitude to grow. Pep wouldn't be held to ransom by Mino / Pogba and I hope the same is the case with Neymar if he becomes available.

And United will spend huge sums this summer because they have no choice but to do that. So they'll sign at least 1 player that we wanted, maybe more.
Which will pish us towards Plan B players which could impact our effectiveness next season.

And United with enough extra good players will gel and progress despite Mourinho's turgid style of football.
Going by that logic (which I don't actually agree with) surely we would end up signing players that they want (and more than just the 1) which would push them towards Plan B players? Who do you think looks a better prospect to sign for nowadays? Us or the rags?

And what makes you think they'd gel anyway? Has Pogba gelled?

It opens July 1st surely?

Edit: ahh -

Although, in England, the transfer window formally opens on 1 July, transfers between clubs in the same league can take place as soon as the last competitive fixtures for the season have been played. However, many transfers will not be completed until 1 July because many players' contracts expire on 30 June.

The perception is they will pay anything or anyone any amount to get what they want in desperation.we don't need to do that, although I would out bid them for anyone every fkn year ,w*****s.

It also says it closes on 1 September?

I guess we don't really want Neymar
We will try and throw a spanner to the works so they don't sign him.

United will beat Ajax. It's a foregone conclusion. Accept it now or be disappointed on Wednesday.

United fans will be annoyingly giddy this summer and probably increasely and unbearably arrogant as the season progresses.

So that'll be United's likely path....my concerns are what happens with us on the parallel track. We have a lot to do to improve on this squad of players and to develop a Plan B against the teams that know full well how to play against Pep's thoroughly predictable style of play.

I have to say that I'm more worried now than I was at any time since 2008. We've left our transitional period until the very last minute. It'll be near on miraculous if Pep succeeds in rectifying so much in such a short period.

Oh how I hope I'm wrong about all of that!

Find a way of talking about them that reflects what a City fan feels about them. Rags will do.

He gels every day, haven't you seen his hair.

Who gives a shit about the rags? They assembled the most expensive squad, under the highest paid manager, in the history of football last season and ended up 6th, with less PL wins than any time in their sordid, hateful history.

An absolute joke of a club who are no more a threat to us than any other mid-table outfit.

A lot of our supporters are too concerned with the Rags. However, I wouldn't dismiss them as just another mid-table outfit even allowing for fact that I do dislike them more intensely than any other team and pay them more mind than most other clubs because they are "local" rivals. They have the spending power and pull to sign quality players and they have a base from which to succeed i.e. they are not losing often. Mourinho may be looking somewhat of yesterday's man in terms of his approach but he might still be able to take them to a title win. For all the stylistic differences between the clubs at the moment, they may still go after some of the same players; although I would hope we are the more attractive option but they are now more likely to spend stupid money.

nail on head there mate, well said.

Only a few hours left until silly season can get on the way properly. Hopefully a few deals will be announced quickly.
And before someone starts saying the windows isn't even open, nothing is stopping the deals from being done already. The window is only about registration.
