I'm not sure he means it completely. He probably does for most of the lads but I think he also uses those statements to further motivate a few that he thinks are on the brink, like Sancho or Foden—the ones that may be getting closer to fringe status with the senior team.

True you can't completely rule out any of the EDS lads breaking through during next season but still there is quite a gap.

That was the Chile Twitter account earlier today, though they changed it to the Arsenal badge shortly after. It's no more telling of anything than City's Twitter account routinely ballsing up our own team lineups, etc.

As you say - would love him for £20m but Everton will want double that. At anything north of £25m he looks a crazy gamble and a bad buy.

If we end up buying Walker for 35-40m and they spend 25-30m of that on Ross Barkley then we have not only strengthened ourselves and weakened a rival, but they would also have spent poorly in the process, again.

Pep didn't give him his professional debut, he was bought from Udinese and was already one of the top players from Serie A at the time. They do seem to have some sort of bromance though lol
