It's Quiet - a new dawn

Imagine how bad it'll be if mendy gets injured though.

In the past you'd never really care which LB played, now if there's an important game coming up and Mendy goes down injured everyone's going to be at panic stations and getting the rosaries out.

It's been a bit of a luxury that we have had two capable leftbacks (until recent seasons of course), not even the best clubs in the world have that. Marcelo gets injured and Real Madrid have to use Nacho there which kills their entire attacking play, Barcelona only have Digne/Mathieu and Juve have Asamoah who's a midfielder. Bayern have both Alaba and Bernat but they're the exception. I think we can deal with having Kolarov as our backup for one last season.

Think we not messing about and able to get them in early because we have let so many players go and got them of the wage bill. Dont forget the premier ffp where you can only increase your clubs wage bill by a certain amount and why the scum will need to let players go.

seeing as its before the end of the May, which is the end of our financial year, I wonder how we're accounting for signings we're pushing through now? Would be interesting if we have spare financial budget for this year which we're using up, giving us more room to manoeuvre with a clean budget for next season, despite already signing a couple of players.

The vast majority of financial transactions related to these player releases and incomings won't be recognised until July, so I doubt that is much of an issue.

Would someone versatile like Fabinho be able to help us out at left back if needed? Then play Sané on the left to maintain the width that we'd otherwise lose through Mendy not being there. Then Fernandinho/Yaya at the base of the midfield, Walker at right back. Got to be better than Kolarov?
