Hence why he said we're a modern club thats been built on huge transfer fees (our modern success, that has made us looked upon worldwide as a elite club is down to our ambitions in the transfer market), while Barcas success in recent years is built on the ideas of one of the biggest names in football all the way from when he was a player there. Its a perfectly fine statement to make, and doesn't take anything away ftom our history. Even tho Alves says he didn't know who we were, he's never said anything that ignores the fact we had history prior to 2008.
Stupid thing to use as a stick to beat him with, especially since it came right before a game against us, and he was a Barca player at the time

good signing if it happens. We need two RBs this summer so getting Alves in cheaply makes sense as we can splash the cash on another one and then replace Alves next year. Alves is still a considerable upgrade on Zabba and Sagna. I wouldn't mind doing a similar strategy on the Left side as well

Fair enough, but Sandro also had a bad game and Chelsea want him for 60mil and we wanted him as well. Juve as a whole didn't play well in a CL final against Real Madrid, but against Monoco and Barca they were unbeatable. Hard to judge someone based on one game.
