John Cross was already on talk sport last night saying that Chelsea might move in for Alexis, he never mentioned the 400k a week demands, even though he broke that story, but then hes been making things up for years and getting away with it.

Next year is the world cup, so in all honesty I can't really see Sanchez sulk all season in the reserves. I reckon he will get on with it also if he stays with Arsenal. However I do think he would then leave on a free after next season. At 29 there will be plenty of takers I am sure. So I think the situation is that the choice Arsenal has is whether he will leave for (a lot of) money now or for nothing next year. If you think it worth 50 million plus his normal wages to have him for 1 year, fair enough mate. I would not have him for 1 year at City at that price.

Would he go to Everton though? I doubt it. Moshiri will know all the ins and outs though with his Arsenal connections. I guess it would sort out the wage cap issue, but Giroud is a significant player for you. I wouldn't want to lose him if I were you as you can rely on him

Thanks for your comments. This saga is going to run and run. Just think if it works out the way you want it (he stays for a final 12 months), you'll have this for another 9 months. We'll probably become immune to it soon enough.

Honestly, he and Vidal would be the first names on the team sheet for Chile irrespective of their game time during the season provided the reason wasn't injuries. If anything, Sanchez would love a light season that keeps him fresh for the World Cup next season if he stays at Arsenal.

I don't really get the argument
Arsenal are a million miles squadwise from winning anything more than the odd fa cup/league cup/community shield
They simply aren't a rival for the premier league and won't be until a new management team and a squad is in place that don't down tools collectively as soon as pressure is applied

Hopefully once the football starts, all the nonsense will stop.
As for Giroud, he wants to be considered for the world cup with France and wont get many games with us next season so a move will be good for him, Everton is a decent solution, if no CL team from abroad wants him.

Its not like if Arsenal rejects City's bid City will just pocket the money. So assuming this is your strategy you may free up money for City to add another player this year and then add Alexis on a free next summer. So while it may be a one year plus for Arsenal and a negative for City, it could be a huge negative for Arsenal from 2018-2020ish and a huge plus for City during that time frame. I don't think I would encourage my club to act with such short-sightedness.

You're totally correct with what you've posted, I would also add his loyalty bonus for completing his full contract if he stays, how much is that? A few million probably. It all adds up to a lot of money to miss out on.

As far as world cup is concerned I dont think it matters whether Sanchez plays for a club or not I think he would be one of the first on the team sheet for Chile. People complain that players are tired out by the time they get to play for their countries because of the heavy seasons for their clubs. As long as he is fit he will play at world cup but that is only my opinion.

Can't get on board with this mindset. There's no way on earth anyone within the club, including fans, want him to run his contract down and leave on a free, most probably to City.

The sheer thought of selling him for £50m to City or him going on a free to City a year later, and Arsenal fans being ok with that, is incredibly flawed.

If he only wants to go to City, it's a no brainer for you, get rid and reinvest. It's too much of a likely risk that he'd end up here anyway, for nothing, and whatever he costs you in wages between now and then.
 
i think its bad news today that lukaku is going for £75 million arsenal will know the score and if everton are getting that for him then wenger will slap another £20million on Sanchez asking price if the market is that daft and united are will to pay that sort of fee then the rest are going to be greedy and think there striker is better

city please don't over pay for Sanchez look for somebody else and never sell aguero for under £150million if everton can get that sort of fee for a donkey with a eye for goal

FFS Sanchez only had 1 year left on his deal we won't pay more than 50million don't worry.

United are in a desperate situation and will be forced to pay way over the odds to get any decent players , thanks to the toxic influence of Mourinho . City on the otherhand have different options imo.

just seen today that he actually wants to leave. one of their ITKs has been posting about it this morning.

thinks if we don't get him this summer we will get him on a free. so good news for us either way!
