I do rate Nasri and would like to see him stay and others go, would be an option for Pep to have him cover D.Silva B.Silva KDB and Yaya.

I highly doubt Pep will allow Samir to stay. Pep is a don't ever cross me type...he asked him to
stay last year and he left.

We seemed to always be at our best with Samir in our 11. He carries that extra goal threat which is so valuable in midfield so if he stays that's more than fine with me.

Samir is a fantastic player. Such a shame he wasn't prepared to stay and fight for his place last season. I think he would have played a lot.

Completely agree, he just played into the 'gutless' stereotype that has followed him around since that free kick against the rags and he's better than that. If he had stayed and fought for his place, not only do I think he would have played a lot (especially after Gundogan's injury), but I think he would have flourished.

I don't think Nasri has been completely in proper physical shape since his long injury. He came back looking overweight, and still does. I think he was and is not prepared to meet the physical demands of playing for Pep, so he chose an easier path. There is a discrepancy between talent and attitude with him which prevents him from taking the last step. Shame.

Brilliant player.
But any footballer who can't get himself fit has no right been a footballer

Pep likes players especially midfield to keep possession, Nasri does that
Pep likes players especially midfield to be able to pass quickly between each other pass and move in triangles to pull the opposition out of position, Nasri does that
He also wants his attacking midfielders to chip in with goals, he does that as well
If he could get him to work hard in the high pressing games he would be the ideal Pep player
Ah well 3 out of four isn’t too bad unfortunately the forth just isn’t Nasri

He hasn't changed, lost his temper in the CL last season and was sent off and under investigation on doping charge, wasting his talent,he'll never change

All I remember from nasri is when he ducked out the way of van persie freekick costing the game

I remember the many positives - the link up with the returning Tevez for his Winning Goal against Chelsea in 2012, the fantastic goal in the League Cup Final, the goal in Rome.... he IS a great player

Agreed. If he was highly motivated I think he'd have been a great. As it is I think he's proved to himself that he can do it and he doesn't think he needs to do any more than that. Imagine the focus and work ethic of a Zabaleta in a man of Nasri's talent.
