Seems that Pep assumes the normal characteristics of a GP will be there but liked to play out constructively from the goalie as well.
Unfortunately by continuing to play Bravo he gave the impression that the missing skills were a secondary requirement to passing skills.
At least thats my opinion anyway.

I'll second that. Whatever went wrong, you can't take away from him his brilliance one on one. After Barca game, Messi was full of praise.

Well my argument was supposed to be his whole game was poor for us last season. Shot stopping, crosses, decision making, punching from crosses. Fans giving ironic cheers when he made a save, it was edge of your seat stuff.

I wouldnt say Bravo was bad across the board last year.

The one shocking issue (and I see this as someone who rated him pre-City) was he became so bad at getting down quickly to shots close to him, which was definitely a confidence issue as he panicked and second guessed himself. Which probably wasn't helped by the "ironic cheers - which just simply isn't supporting a player that's in a City shirt. It was more important to make Bravo feel unwelcome and make it clear that that person didn't think he was good enough.
 
So we've been haggling over 4-5 million for both Mendy and Walker, but we're going to drop 4 million + on a second foreign backup keeper? Just seems an odd move if the budget is so tight.

She qualifies for England under rules that FA's use all the time. I've no problem with it for the most part. She had a difficult path to try to be the USWNT keeper. Brianna Scurry was great, and would have been hard to displace. Her contemporary, Hope Solo, is essentially a women's Buffon (with anger issues). Even understudies to Solo like Ashlyn Harris are really good.

She's done well for herself.

I understand but it is a bit selfish - they could go to PM or onto one of the Bravo/Hart threads.

When people who have things to do in their day come onto BM and see there has been several pages on this thread they firstly get interested and then frustrated when wading though bollocks irrelevant to the thread.
