Samir Nasri

Not as black and white as that. IMO Mancini provoked that situation unnecessarily - and I speak as a huge fan of Bobby Manc. Apart from that (albeit important) aberration, Tevez sweated blood for us week in week out. I'd take that all day long over someone who could barely be arsed.
Tevez shown a lack of respect to the club with what he did that's why he went the following year, saying that he was outstanding 95% of the time when he put on the blue shirt. He's a legend in my eyes contributed to us winning the league for sure.

I think that may be overstating it a bit. He can be a pain in the arse no doubt and I'm sure that will be taken into account when any decision is made but I'd have thought there's a decent chance that a man manager of Pep's calibre would fancy his chances of being able to get Nasri in the right frame of mind. If we get Sanchez Pep probably won't bother his arse even trying with him but if we don't then he's an option and if Pep can bring out the best in him then we have a fine player available again.
Whatever his other attributes, Pep's man management skills have not been proven so far at City. On the credit side, I think he handled Yaya well. Hart and Nacho? Distinctly questionable. And the squad as a whole disappointed. While I'm really glad we have him, I can't help thinking the cheque book is his best friend.

I wasn't overly impressed by pep last season tbh so I totally know where you're coming from but I think generally over his career players have really wanted to play for him which tells me he can get them on his side if he wants to.

I like Nasri as a player, but don't see him replacing any of the expected 17 non home grown so its a bit irrelevant, who would he replace from
Ederson, Bravo, Denilo, Mendy, Kompany, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Toure, Gundogan, Silva, Silva, De Bruyne, Aguero, Sane, Jesus , Sanchez, New CB .
Mangala & save the money

Oh yes. He's a very successful manager with some charisma. People want to be part of that. He's shown his pulling power this transfer window, which is great. I'm just saying he has the rare luxury of being able to discard anyone who doesn't conform and also to "park" players on hundreds of grand a week. Few others get such latitude, including "lesser" managers who attract such scorn on here. He lives in a rarefied atmosphere.

eh what? There's a reason players want to play for the man, and it ain't our chequebook.

Just look at his impact on Yaya, Silva, Sterling, Sane, Jesus and even Kun.

The man is working wonders.

I guess it's all about opinions. Those opinions shape the response and it will be different for each manager.

Personally I can't agree with the majority of what you've said here. Nacho isn't good enough unfortunately and I think that is clear to see, certainly Pep would seem to.

Joe had to go, there have been rumours circulating for a number of years about his conduct off the pitch and the way I see It, Pep has done what both Mancini and Manuel tried, but failed, to do.

We can agree about Yaya though. Handled brilliantly. The man has even took a pay cut to stay.

Iheanacho is a top quality poacher in a team that doesn't have a use for one. That's all there is too it. The quality of Pep's management is in recognizing it and not trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Nacho will go on to be world class, but not in the manner a Pep striker would be.

You'd have to adapt your to game to suit Nacho.

I think in the current climate much more is required from a striker.

Just being able to score goals isn't a bad thing but it's becoming more and more diminished imo.

He has a lot of work to on his touch, playing with his back to goal and discipline/decision making before he makes it at the top level.

Otherwise he'll just become a decent poacher at a mid table team.

11 used to be kolarov, now vacant. Gundogan took 8 when Samir left for Sevilla. He has no squad number on the OS. Seems to be pretty involved in tour media for a player in the shop window. Scratching my head over this. He must have more lives than a cat if he's back in.
Hope he stays personally. He has grown on me.

Jesus and Sané count as U21 for domestic competitions and don't take a foreign spot.
Makes at least 40 matches. Much more than enough for Nasri and Mangala.
Squad regulations wouldn't be the problem.
Only if more players come in surplus to "Sanchez, New CB".

You think Nasri will be happy being excluded from the CL squad?
