If Arsenal do keep Sanchez, it's a purely football decision, they aren't thinking about the finances.
First time for everything.

Also, the club's status comes into play. For £50M, Everton can sign Sigurdson. Meanwhile, City can sign Bernardo Silva for a similar amount.
There's lots of good players out there. For all the money that City have spent, they've built a top squad and even this summer hardly spent much more than £50M on a single player.
yep, agree. i think some of us have got a bit narky, because we (me included) assumed he'd be on his way here from the sounds earlier in the summer. fair fucks to arsenal for keeping and potentially missing out on a fee. a player is worth to a team whatever they value him at. people have laughed/had a go at us for spending 50m on a fullback, but in my view we needed him and he's well worth it. if arsenal think the same about sanchez, can't blame them and we just move on.
I'm not sure he'll do that. Hope he does, it'll be pretty damn funny.Looks like it would take Sanchez handing in an official transfer request if this were to happen.

He seems to not be prepared to force it.
The Community shield might change things, he's obsessed with winning trophies so maybe he just wants to win this one before leaving, or maybe losing would be a reminder of where Arsenal are, but at the moment this seems dead.
Can't imagine he gives a shit about the Community Shield tbh, but yeah not overly confident of this happening given Wenger's stance. Then again, would Sanchez agitate over a move all summer only to baulk at the end?
Why wouldn't he? He wants trophies. Not a big deal to hand in the transfer request. Would be nice to see Arsenal lose On Sunday and then watch Kelechi bag a brace against them. Ideally he hands in a transfer request as soon as possible but wouldn't mind seeing him do it before the Liverpool match. Drama.
Why wouldn't he?
I don't get it either.
Sanchez looking increasingly unlikely and Mbappe a pipe dream. The fact we're in for these 2 suggests Pep wants more goals so is there a plan c?
Because he can be the main man at Arsenal for 12 months and then leave on a free for loads of money at the end of the season. If it that was straightforward it begs the question why he hasn't done it sooner?
Guessing that's the nuclear option, destroying your relationship with the fans and jeopardising any loyalty payments. .

Why is Mbappe a pipe dream? Looks feasible to me. Real madrid dont have a place for him. Barca in a mess.
Wankers will boo him anyway mate. And I'm sure City can organise a special "Chileans with the Initials AS" bonus payment to make up for any shortfall.
Especially after Pep's comments about needing something more!
You didn't say he wasn't and Marv needs his hand holding from time to time.I never said Mbappe is a pipe dream?
