I stand corrected, looks like he really has. 1 day before the season starts and supposedly by email, what a prat.

Guess I underestimated Liverpool's ability to cock things up.

Much as I will enjoy their discomfort, it's hardly Liverpool's fault that Barcelona have muscled in and undermined their player. For what it's worth I'm not convinced they'll let him go, transfer request or no transfer request. Klopp's tenure may rest on it

Wanting your team to secretly break the rules and tap up another teams player by pressurising the player into a transfer request.

Abhorrent.

hahahahaha.

mathieu flamini's move from marseille to arsenal could hardly have been called ethical.

and what about when arsenal were taken to court for that lad (merida?) from la masia?

or when arsenal talked to squillaci without permission.

or julio baptista admitting wenger had wanted to get to know him personally.

or raphael da silva saying he was unhappy arsenal had tried to get him and his brother to go to arsenal without saying anything to fluminense.

or bordeaux complaining that arsenal has spoken to chamakh before speaking to them.

Cracking post. That gonner should bow his head in shame lol

Submit a lowball offer on the final day Arsenal refuse Sanchez goes publicly saying he wasnts out City offer a bit more and sign him

Don't think its going to happen on the final day but I am hoping it happens around their Liverpool game. But yea I think it will go down as you describe it.

City will bid maybe 35-40m, and brief the press about it.
Arsenal will reject.
Sanchez will hand in an official transfer request.
City bid 50m.
Arsenal stall and eventually accept.
Sanchez holds up the number 9 shirt with a great big smile on his face.

Pretty standard, Sanchez is seen as the enemy, Arsenal get their money and buy a replacement, everyone is happy.

I know Pep & City would prefer it goes down quietly but lets be real its not going to happen like that. The fans would revolt, Arsenal have to make a big scene out of this and we'll get the expected statement from Wenger: "We had no choice but to sell Sanchez." The fans will direct all their hate at Sanchez and continue to support their club.

John Henry made Suarez cry and Coutinho didn't even have the balls to tell them in person, so I think they will definitely keep him this year. World cup year and he can't afford to go on strike either.

I meant a cock up in that they release a statement saying he wont go and then an hour later he says he will, that is a cock up, and not Barcelona's fault. Its like no one asked him before they put it out or something.

If it's deadline day, I'd drop those prices, especially if Sanchez is 'injured'. Offer about £25m and then up it to £25,000,001 for a laugh before going £40m 1/2 hr before the window shuts.

I think his goal tally will be up significantly this season. Pep is working with him.

The commentary of his goals in preseason, against Madrid and particularly against Spurs, made it sound like he scuffed them and was fortunate.
I honestly didn't see them that way. It looked to me like someone has had a word in his shell-like, and he has calmed down, taken a breath before shooting and consciously placed both shots instead of trying to blast it.
Both times he gave the keeper the eye and just stroked it into the corner. Add to that the one against West ham and he's had a very productive preseason.
I choose to believe that this is something that is being worked on. I would agree with you NK, that i hope to see at least double figures from him this season.

I think Arteta was winding him up at the end saying the same as the commentators & Sterling was arguing, telling him what he did.

David Ornstein Just said on the BBC live on Facebook that Arsenal are looking to keep Sanchez unless a huge bid came in...something they couldn't turn down.

50-60m?

I think they all are capable of passing the ball accurately with the normal City game of possession.

The problem has been accuracy when shooting which for some reason they see as different than passing the ball accurately between the goalposts.
Even if the ball is of a much lower pace than normal shooting but is passed accurately it least has a chance to beat the defence and score a goal.

Perhaps you describe Peps way to get our players to be better at shooting by first of all getting it on target and passing the ball into the net.
