Alexis Sanchez

Not at his age - he'd go for close to 70M with 5 years left on his contract - 50M is more than reasonable.
Not at his age?? How much would Ronaldo go for if he were available today? I'm not suggesting that they are equals atm but Alexis has everything in him to be a Ballon d'Or contender in no distant time. All he needs now is the right teamates around him for him to attain his true level and that is exactly what we are proposing to him. Arsenal has held him down for almost half a decade and so he cannot stay anymore. Just look at Griezmann who was a Ballon d'Or second runner up few years back because they had an awesome season in La Liga and UCL, he's got absolutely nothing on Alexis. So my dear i dare say if anybody pays £80m for him this window he'll be well worth it (i think we will end up paying far less though). I know he's on his last year but the fact that a supposed top team in the country is selling their best player (that's too mild, their only geniune player) to a rival makes it understandable and these points even themselves out.

You're comparing players with significant release clauses to one who doesn't have o e and on the last year of his contract. If you want to compare the crazy fees for Lukaku and Morata, well they are younger with multiple years left on their contracts.£50M is more than enough.

  1. "He will sign a new contract with us"
  2. "We will not sell to a PL club"
  3. "He wants City move? he will leave on a free next year"
  4. "We're only willing to sell for 80m"

Fingers crossed the pattern continues with "We had to sell for less or he'd leave on a free"

5.He's only leaving for money. (Even though they want to entice him to stay with money)

Sanchez should not be available at all, Arsenals 4th place mentality has really cost them here and that is going to sting their fans. They can rant at us all they like but it will do nothing to change the reality they have only themselves to blame. The bloke has a burning desire to win stuff proper and that is at odds with Arsenals 'are you comfortable though' approach.

You are Arsenal football club are you not? since when was your fate cast at the whim of little old City eh lads? Your under investment over the last 7 or so years when you could have done more leaving you just about now with a brutal squad has gone wanting. You have only yourselves to blame for your position in world footy and you know it in your heart of hearts. Would Sanchez so readily shut out everyone including you for Pep if you had world beaters in every position and others knocking on the door? He may still come here but i am sure as shit if he saw a burning desire at your club to improve he would not have dropped you like he has done.

I totally agree with that, Its our lack of ambition in recent years that have pushed Sanchez into this position, although if it wasnt for Pep hed never want to join Man city because youve won practically nothing in recent years either, even less than Arsenal. I think this summer we are showing the ambition we should have shown for the last 4 years but only because weve dropped out of the top 4, and its come too late for Sanchez and I cant blame him.
I would sell him for 80m to City, for 50m abroad, and be equally happy to see him play one more season for us. I think these are good parameters set by the club, if City really want him theyll pay the 80m, we are not standing in his way, the ball is in city's court now, he can see how much the likes of Lukaku are costing, if Sanchez had a long contract , hed be worth over 100m in this market.
