not huge ones (though I turned it off on 2-0) but Matic was making fouls each 30 seconds, no booking). Atkinson was strong though to wave off numerous nothing falls in west ham box.

Unfortunately the wank fest will continue until mid October which is when the finally play someone from the top 6. They'll get the easiest group possible for CL.

Reality is they have an average squad and for some reason their 40m defender didn't even make bench today. They will get found out eventually, patience is key lads.

Top 4 is what they'll be competing for, won't come close to the title.

The media will convince everyone this squad can win the treble, don't fall for the hype.

unfortunately i think they will be our toughest competition. theirs is a prototypical PL winning squad. which is why we winning the title against these will be all the more sweater imo
 
They played much better than last year, more pace and creativity. They will do better than last year and regarding Title and other stuff...i will wait 12 games before coming to predictions.
 
Way to early to say very much against what looked like a very poor West Ham side, but they looked better on that performance than I can remember them playing last season.
 
Listened to a bit of the after march in the car. Pogba is sublime, Matic is a steal and they didn't even mention Lukaku. It sounds like West Ham were as bad as they were in the friendly against us, but that won't get much mention.
 
The more i hear about rags being title contenders the more I like it - it will feel so much sweeter when we take the the trophy and see their fans shocked and distraught.
 
I've heard that the FA are considering ordering the open top bus parade for their league title now. We'll carry on with the games, but the league winner is not in doubt after this West Ham game.
 
I wouldn't worry too much. The same was being said last year until we ran them off the park for 45 minutes at OT. A good side but still very beatable.
 
it was a shocking show of cowardice by west ham they just rolled over not seen that for about a couple of seasons at united teams like to face up to united after the fergie years but today was right back to bend over we are going to smash your back doors right in even the west ham defenders was laughing with the united players . i hope to god west ham go down and even with zabba and hart they looked and remind me of the old days of why bother its united away its not nice to watch and the west ham fans are getting short changed coming up from london to watch that crap

from the games i have seen this weekend spurs looked good city well it was just city and looked good liverpool are miles off arsenal could be right in the mix united i don't know you could not judge them today west ham rolled over and in the other teams game at least they give it there best shot leicester looked really good again brighton defended so well and west ham could do with watching them defend vs a top team watford played really well

am still shocked at west ham i did fancy them to have a good season but if they roll over for anybody it does not look good for the season ahead players only have to do it once knowing they can get away with it and they will do again and again the manager with a team of soft arss players means only one thing a early sacking

to pretend that wasn't a very good performance is silly. And both of their new signings, Lukaku and Matic, looked top notch. Pogba is a special player. Add Rashford and Martial's speed Mata and MiHKT's creativity and DE Gea's goalkeeping, and it's not surprising they are consider challengers.

Lets give it till the champions league start and reevaluate. But right now its hard to claim they are not going to legitimately challenge
 
They played well today, although West Ham didn't show much ambition to be fair. I think they'll fare a lot better against the lower teams than they did last season, turning those draws into some wins. The question is how they'll do against the rest of the top six and if they'll make it to the knockout rounds of the CL.

They will challenge and considering the money spent on their squad they should. Pep and maureen are both under pressure to deliver this season. The touch paper has been lit as they say.
