Kylian Mbappe

Paying the money for Mbappe isn't the issue. Funding the amortisation and wages is. That's about £50M a year

Missed the point, I doubt selling Aurier in isolation would fund Mbappe or allow compliance with FFP.
Why not? A sale is banked while in this year, a purchase is amortised. It could certainly help them pass this year if nothing else.

The line that it's difficult for them to meet FFP and buy Mbappe this year, seems to be coming from PSG themselves though. The impression I get is they need a few sales to be able to do it, only they would know how many.

Mbappé is going to cost 200m and 12m/year in wages. 5 year contract and that becomes 52m/year.

Aurier was bought for 10m 2 years ago on a 4 year deal, and allegedly earns €5m/year.

So they'd need to sell him for, what, 50m for him to balance the cost of Mbappé for a year? Latest rumours suggest it'll be more like 20m.

Chelsea will buy him £50m as a return favour.

From the BBC
They declared a profit of 10.4m euros (£9.4m) at the end of the 2016 season. Think that must be Net profit

They earn 28m euros (£25.3m) a year from Emirates as shirt sponsors - eight times more than before the Qatari owners arrived - which is the eighth biggest deal of any a club, a little bit more than Manchester City but still behind Manchester United (£57.3m) or Chelsea (£46m).

Neymar, though, will be a catalyst to bolster their revenue even further. According to some experts, the Brazilian could increase by 50% or even double the value of deals PSG will renegotiate.

The club also expect different brands to queue up to work with them, with new business opportunities in Brazil, Asia and the USA, where the club are already well established.

Currently, PSG are sixth in the Deloitte money league with a turnover of £389.6m in 2016 (up 8% from 2015). The theory is that Neymar will help the club close that gap.

Emirates don't sponsor them anymore. They signed a new deal with Qatar Airways.

i dont believe Mbappe will cost £200M, probably nearer to £120-£150M. To his £12-£15M wages, you've got to add the social charges that the French taxman will want. Mbappe will cost around £50M a year in the p&l account.

Exactly. It would help, but I doubt that Aurier being sold would generate enough to cover the amortisation or wages of a move for Mbappe. Hence why there is no real reason to be arsed about Aurier being sold. If Cavani, Verratti, Moura etc get sold it would be a bigger indicator

Not true. Emirates do sponsor them.

Qatar Airways might sponsor them after that ends.
To add to Domalino, there were rumours that PSG are terminating their contract with Emirates. These rumours coincided with the rumours of Qatar paying for Neymar's transfer and all that BS, so I wouldn't bet on it. Sometime later, media started reporting that the contract with Emirates is in fact not going to be terminated, but will be extended next year. As of now, Emirates still sponsor PSG and will do for the current season. Everything else is hearsay.

All the talk about the Neymar signing and PSG finances reminds me a little of the Messi to us debate.

Often the line trotted out would be that Messi would pay for himself effectively. Why is this not the case when we talk about Neymar and PSG? He has very similar appeal.

Their kit deals, other sponsorship deals as well as the desired improvement on the pitch should push their revenue up a decent percentage.

PSG trying to do in France what the Montreal Canadians did to some extent for a time in Canada (for the French speaking community at least) to become the nations team. PSG play in red, white and blue and want to be a team representing France - a bigger version of the Rags if their is such a monstrous idea! Not sure it'll work but they are effectively stifling all opposition.
