Well slap my backside with a wet fucking banana because it was 60/40.

Jesus wept.
This is so consistent with so much of the Remainer crap that has been posted on here before and particularly after the election.

36% is much closer to a third than a half

There are number of Remain posters on here that simply cannot stop themselves adopting their preferred image of being oh so clever - seeking to come across as just simply more intelligent than the poor ignorant Leave voters that were just simply led by the media due to them being incapable of making their own judgements - obviously down to their aforementioned ignorance.

You taking such a high-handed/supercilious stance of: "Go and research that fact if you don't believe me and if you know what that word means. Research is good. Bullshit is bad.............." simply puts you in the same category - IMO - as some of the other EU cheerleaders.

This is especially the case when you are shown up for your own research being total bollocks - you probably thought that there was not a Leave voter with the intelligence to make an online check of your claim.

It would have been much easier to simply state something along the lines of "...........sorry about that - I was wrong..." But there has not been much evidence amongst the EU cheerleaders of the level of character that such acceptance would require.

So instead, the WTO will have jurisdiction over us?

The WTO have jurisdiction over the EU, that's the way of the world. What we will have is autonomy and if you're a realist and understand that trade deals and inclusion in the world affairs there will always be compromise. It's the type of compromise the remain camp is demanding that's a non starter.

You seriously think we'll have autonomy?

I don't think any country has true autonomy unless you're made up like North Korea mate. Inclusion means compromise but compromise shouldn't and can't mean that our sovereign laws are superseded by the corrupt EU politburo.
Exactly, which is why all these claims about getting our sovereignty and autonomy back are completely dishonest in the world we live in today, which, for me, makes the decision to leave so anachronistically flawed. We'll need to comply with EU laws if we want to trade with them anyway, which nobody seemed to realise when talking of taking our lawmaking back. The consequences of leaving are far more complex than any of us contemplated, myself included.

It's all about baby steps and which part of the jurisdiction we keep in house and what level of immigration we agree to with the EU instead of this carte blanc ideology in place right now. Where immigration is concerned the Tories don't have it under control (From outside the EU) and that has to be addressed first although I doubt they will get to that and day soon. We simply cannot allow someone like Merkel flood the EU with cheap 3rd world labour feeding big business and turn a blind eye any longer.
For now though I am more than happy to have that nasty flag of the EU removed from our buildings and for my bananas to be wonky...plus it gives me a chance to blame politicians of all sides for the messes they get us into.

I respect and understand your position mate, but I believe it's fundamentally wrong.

We are knackered, we all know it. We will try and become the sixth major state of the US before long. To get trade deals with the rest of the world, we will have to agree to their cheap inferior imports, damage our food chain with GM crops and accept Hormone enhanced meat imports. The farm industry in the UK is dead as they will not be able to compete.
Global trading for the UK means widening the trade gap. We will import everything we need, Steel, food, oil ext. Companies that want EU trade are already planning to move. Our government is incapable of getting a decent trade deal with the EU.

So here goes your Human Rights / Employment rights / the up and coming case against the Tory Government over the disgraceful way they have treated the disabled.

I have no allegiance to a political party and particularly not the EU's brand of politik. As for employment rights the free movement of people has put paid the the poor working class rights.

Edit: And it was Labour who brought the monsters ATOS in so they're not clean either.

And there you go......Im not surprised you voted leave........its the 'Free movement of Labour' not the 'Free movement of People' its the failure of Government and the fact that we relinquished control of our borders when we outsourced control to Capita (who surprisingly Philip May works for)

The free movement comment is just semantics it means what it means. And we lost all semblance of independence when Gordon Brown signed the Lisbon treaty which gave the EU even more power over us. All of our politicians have let us down not just the Tories.

Why would free movement of people put paid to workers rights? It's the governments duty to protect the workers who are moving here and not to let companies exploit them. You really think the government want to end free movement to protect workers here?
