I hope that the system works (and we sign Sanchez) because if it does and we do then we have the potential for a treble this season in my opinion.

I wonder if Bayern would sell Renato Sanches?

Manual Locatelli at AC Milan looks a prospect too. Obviously they have no need to sell.

I don't watch hardly any European football and frankly it ain't my job I understand pep doesn't want water carriers but I would have been all over Kante and matic over the last two seasons. Remember pep had busquets and lahm plus his other midfielders had more legs defensively.

Busquets, xavi and iniesta have a lot more in them ball winnning wise than toure,silva and KDB. The fact we have 1 Proper left back and will make do with Jonny fucking Evans is not forward thinking

I have said this over and over again on here the fact we didnt score enough still remains the main problem from last season and this season 3 games in.

Renato Sanches is sh*t, Bayern put a lot of effort into coaching him, but now have decided that he's hopeless. All pace and power, zero brains. Besides, he plays in a different position - B2B, Guardiola simply doesn't need players of that kind.

Agree on Kante, would have been a good signing. And yes we are light at left back but hopefully we can keep Mendy fit all season...

I think KDB is one of our best ball winners, and better than those three Barcelona players you mention. I am biased though.

Fair do's - haven't watched him since he played for Benfica. If he's got no brains he's definitely not a Pep player.

Good point about Barca trio. But what we need is a pivot to beat the first layer of press (Busquets) and support the ball circulation, not an energetic runner like Kante who, strictly speaking, operates in 8 areas and IMO can't be classified as DM. We have Silvas and KdB in those positions.
Matic is a good shout, but Weigl is a level above, as I see it.

We have 1 clean sheet so far against the might of Brighton. All 3 teams we have played have parked the bus. It's those big games in Europe and the premiership where it will bite us on the arse plus a few games where teams get lucky. Is our lack of goals down purely to personnel? My opinion is no.

Kante is a player I said I would buy not one that pep would. Pep isn't for turning but KDB and silva are poodles and we need a couple of terriers.

Yeah our middle is way too soft. It baffles me how we can see it and one of the best managers in the world cannot. I understand it against the smaller teams but against the big teams we could get dominated in that area.

Sorry cannot agree with that last statement in any way. It's all about opinions though.

France and Spain played a friendly not so long ago, you should watch it and check out how this 'terrier' deals with Spanish 'poodles' (hint: he's useless against them).

KDB isn't a Spanish poodle plus I tend not to judge a player on one game,more the last 2 seasons in the premiership which is where we play

Genuine question: did you watch Pep's Barcelona at their peak? They were officially the smallest team in Europe. They had tall powerful players in CD, DM areas, it allowed to defend crosses and set-pieces successfully.
Can't remember anyone 'dominating' Xavi and Iniesta in midfield.
